For some reason Nayva hadn't been able to get Cadoc out of her head. There were multiple times she caught herself venturing into the jungle towards the Dark Acheron where he and his followers called home only to stop herself when she realized where she was headed. She couldn't let him get to her like this. That couldn't happen. Talking some sense into herself, she had kept busy by spying on the city and royal guards.
She already knew their routine, the city would wake up and the night patrol would return to the palace where the guards headquartered out of. The night patrol would head home for some sleep and the fresh day patrol would head out to their assigned regions of the city. The patrol for that night would then rest up or work on some other things before their shift would start later that evening.
As for the royal guards in the palace, they were harder to spy on since they never really left the giant marble building. She'd been able to get a peek inside however. Waiting for night, she'd found a spot on the wall that was covered in enough vines that she could scale it if she was careful. Once there, she could then reach the top of an old pillar that stood on the entrance balcony of the palace. She hadn't been able to see too much inside but she was able to learn that there were six royal guards per floor and there were three floors to the palace, including the dungeons underneath the palace. That meant there were 18 royal guards just inside the palace.
That was definitely far more than she had originally planned there'd be but she knew there was always a way to get some of those guards out of the palace. Because she'd also been able to find out that some of the royal guards went out on border patrols with a few of the city guards if there was ever a problem reported.
Nayva continued to plot and plan as she strolled through the jungle, making her way towards the Dark Acheron where she knew Cadoc would be waiting for her. A smirk lifted the corners of her mouth just at the thought of the dark king. Once she caught sight of the entrance to the large cavern, she stepped inside and walked right past the two guards at the entrance. They took one look at her and her ebony soul stone and let her pass.
Smirk still in place, Nayva lifted her chin a bit as she scanned the wide open room. There were holes in the walls of the rock cavern that most likely served as dens as well as quite a few ledges with even more holes leading off of them. More dens, she assumed. A few eyes fell on her as she strolled through the open area, cats gathered in different places all scattered about. It wasn't long before she caught sight of Cadoc, sitting atop a large bowl shaped rock that most likely served as his throne. Stopping at the base of it, she smiled up at him, her icy blue eyes glowing in the dimmer light inside the cavern. "My king." She greeted him, dipping her head before looking up at him once more.

COME LITTLE LIGHT
come away to the darkness
Although they'd parted ways, the jaguar had managed to make herself known daily, her memory ever present in the lion's mind. She plagued him when he slept, visions of her sultry body looming in his dreams as he fantasized about all of the acts they'd left undone. His thoughts wandered to her when he taught his subjects, curious with each new technique whether or not the jaguar had mastered them as well. Her input was craved when he spoke with his council; Cadoc wondered if her knowledge of the city would make an impact on their meetings each time they held on. She was so far away though, separated from him by miles of thick forest and a city guard that would cast their lives aside before letting him step foot into their streets. The king could rest easy in the fact that he knew she'd return someday soon, however. Even though their jobs held them apart she promised to visit him often, and something about her made him trust her word entirely. So Cadoc woke every day wondering if it would be the day that she'd grace the temple with her presence.
The lion lounged lazily in his throne, body curled into a comfortable position across the stone bowl. He'd just finished a lesson, a demonstration on some of his more advanced techniques even though there wasn't a hope that the onlookers could master such advanced tactics anytime soon. He showed them none the less, the oohs and ahs that he received feeding his ego each time he impressed his followers. Such acts drained him though, leaving him tired and on his throne for the rest of the day while he and his council watched the pride quietly. It seemed like the day's events were far from over, however. There was suddenly a commotion, some of the cats murmuring amongst themselves that caused the king to lift his head, eyes half opening lazily to see what all the fuss was about. Much to his surprise, his dark eyes fell on a dark frame slowly making her way through the crowd. His eyes opened wide, lips parting in a small gasp before curling into a grin. Nayva had returned.
My king. His smirk widened as he turned his head, dipping it just slightly to acknowledge her kindness. "Nayva Aeron," he cooed, casting a glance at cats on his sides before pulling himself up onto his paws. The felines nodded knowingly and Cadoc turned his attention back to Nayva, dropping easily onto the floor in front of her. "Shall we talk outside?" he purred with an arched brow before stepping past her, tail flicking lightly as he walked. The cats scattered about the temple glanced briefly at the two of them, always curious when such business arose, and the lion nodded to each whose gaze he captured. "So nosy," he muttered under his breath in mild amusement as they strode toward the exit and finally out into the thick of the jungle. If things progressed as he intended the cat certainly didn't want to have an audience present.

Nayva had spent quite a bit of time learning what she could to help Cadoc's cause. They definitely had a few options that could help them out and Nayva was already letting her mind run wild with thoughts of the tricks they could pull to get Magnus alone. That and the thought of her own sweet revenge only ebbed her on.
Once she'd reached the Dark Acheron that Cadoc and his followers called home, she stepped inside, the guards not even trying to stop her once they got a look at her black soul stone dangling from her neck. Padding through the large, open area she could feel the eyes on her as she moved and could hear the murmurs of awe at the sight of her and her black stone. She wasn't one to shy away from wandering eyes though and instead lifted her chin a bit and enjoyed the amazed gazes that followed her as she made her way to Cadoc's throne.
She could see the shape of the male lion draped across the stone throne and her smirk grew a bit before she came to a stop in front of him. Nayva Aeron. Her name on his lips almost sent a delicious shiver down her spine but she resisted, lifting her icy blue gaze to meet his before he slipped to the floor in front of her. Shall we talk outside? He didn't give her a chance to answer, not that she needed one, before he stepped past her and headed towards the exit. More whispers and wandering eyes followed them and she smirked a bit more when he muttered under his breath.
Once outside, they slipped through the trees a little ways before pausing in a small clearing. Sitting back on her haunches, she let her gaze slide over his body before tilting her head to the side a bit. "Did you miss me?" She purred, an amused smirk still linger on her lips as she blinked slowly. She knew she had missed him but whether she would admit that out loud or not was another story.

COME LITTLE LIGHT
come away to the darkness
They were quiet as they walked, but even then Cadoc could feel the tension building. There seemed to be an unspoken desire constantly lingering in the air between them, drawing them closer. Even though this meeting was supposed to be a briefing, nothing more than business, his mind was already traveling, thinking across all the ways he wanted to touch her body. She'll be mine, he thought, lips curling into a smirk as he finally slowed, letting her step around in front of her. She would, of course, accentuate her curves whenever her body was in front of him, swinging her hips whenever she could and tearing him apart with that sassy little smirk. A groan pressed against the back of his throat but he contained it, trying to appear more cordial and less hungry. Did you miss me?
"But of course," he purred, stepping closer to her before sitting down on his haunches. He reached out, caressing her face in a similar way to as he'd done before, letting his fingertips tickle across her sensitive lips. "And you? How have you faired, so far away?" He pulled away, hoping his touch elicited the same feelings in the pit of her belly that touching her ignited in his. He swallowed back his feelings though, shifting his weight to adjust himself more comfortably before exhaling, excitement lighting up his features.
"It's nearly unbearable enough to call off our arrangement and bring you here to stay... But alas, too much is at stake," he sighed disappointedly before his lips upturned once more. She was supposed to have returned carrying news, secrets of the city that could help them pick apart Magnus' impenetrable defenses. It would take time, no doubt and he didn't expect to be able to devise a master plan in the course of just a few weeks. Every piece of information counted though, and with each tidbit he could return to his small council and confer with them as well to begin this long, arduous process ahead of them. "What have you gathered to tell me dear?"
Post by Nayva Aeron on May 28, 2015 23:14:47 GMT -5
But of course. Her smirk grew a bit when he admitted to missing her. She knew she'd missed him though she wasn't planning on filling him in on that fact any time soon if she could help it. He didn't waste time in closing the space between them and she licked her lips a bit before blinking slowly, flirtatiously. And you? How have you faired, so far away? His finger tips brushed across her lips for a moment making a sweet shudder want to rush down her spine but she kept it hidden for now, fighting back against the desire growing in the pit of her stomach.
"It's been hard, being good in the city but it's brought me back to you again so I can't complain too much." She purred in reply, leaning closer to him as her icy blue eyes skimmed over his body once again, remembering it from their last encounter except it was even better up close.
It's nearly unbearable enough to call off our arrangement and bring you here to stay... But alas, too much is at stake. She nodded, agreeing with his statement. "Indeed, can't falter now. The city will be yours soon enough." She replied with her smirk still on her lips. Her blue eyes never left his as she flicked his chin playfully with her tail.
What have you gathered to tell me dear? She took a deep breath when he asked her what she had gathered. Smirk growing since she'd come up with quite a few options for them to try depending on how Cadoc wanted to proceed. "You've got quite a few options. The guards switch at dusk and all the guards are in the palace at dusk. If Magnus were to be out of the palace at that time, he would have little to no protection. Making him an easy target." She began, pausing for a moment as she flexed her claws at the thought of digging them into the flesh of the general.
Pushing those thoughts aside, she focused back on her current train of thought. "Then there's always the canines that could be framed to cause problems at the border. That would draw some of the guards and the army away from the city to give you a better shot at taking over the palace. With that under control, they'd have a hard time taking it back." She added before leaning back on her haunches as well. "And that's only scratching the surface." She answered, licking a paw before brushing it over her ear casually as if plotting to end the current reign of a king was the most common thing in the world.

COME LITTLE LIGHT
come away to the darkness
The fact that his heart had grown fond of the jaguar didn't strike him at all as weakness. He didn't love her, of course, an emotion he'd decided he was all but entirely void of. There was no harm in getting attached, in wishing the other could be closer more often. He was, after all, the king, and he could miss as many ladies as he wanted without any of his followers batting an eye. His desire for her was indeed strong though, even though for now it was forged of nothing more than some common interests and a primal lust. He wasn't sure if it would stand the test of time or if the lady would be nothing more than company at night until he got what he wanted from the city. He supposed that notion also depended on the presence of children. The lion wanted cubs, of course, as they would add to his cause, strong heirs to fight for his cause alongside him. His head tilted just slightly as he looked at her, considering her then in a different light. Would she be a good candidate to produce him a cub worth having? She was strong and had a soul as black as night... It was definitely a thought, and he smirked as he straightened back up, saying nothing about what was on his mind.
It's been hard, being good in the city but its brought me back to you again, so I can't complain too much. A devilish, toothy smirk broke across his lips as he leaned in too. "Then you better be on your best behavior," he purred teasingly, before pulling away so that her scent was clouding his mind, making it difficult to think.
Indeed, can't falter now. The city will be yours soon enough. He nodded, sitting still as her tail skimmed across the bottom of his chin. If only she were fully aware of how the simplest of touches drove his senses wild, setting his belly ablaze with need and his skin tingling eagerly, then perhaps she wouldn't tease him so readily.
You've got quite a few options. The guards switch at dusk and all the guards are in the palace at dusk. If Magnus were to be out of the palace at that time, he would have little to no protection. Making him an easy target. Then there's always the canines that could be gramed to cause problems at the border. That would draw some of the guards an the army away from the city to give you a better shot at taking over the palace. With that under control, they'd have a hard time taking it back. And that's only scratching the surface.
Cadoc certainly looked pleased, his eyes alight with all of the possibilities as his eagerness was shown in the expression scrawled across his face. He let out a huff of air as she finished, leaning back on his haunches and looking away. "That's certainly a good start, and several points for me to discuss with my small council," he replied, before turning back to look at her. HIs brow was set, as if contemplating an idea, his eyes hard on her face. "I'll need to know when Magnus is the weakest, however, to know when to trick the guard or what have you to get them away. Perhaps he's caught a cold, or injured himself; every little advantage is necessary. But to find that out... you'd have to be in the castle... Hmm, it's something to think about," he replied, standing up and stretching his legs. He definitely needed to get Nayva into the castle, he just wasn't sure how he could go about doing such a thing just yet. In truth they had plenty of time though, and an overthrow wasn't going to happen overnight. There was no need to rush things; he had plenty of training and gathering still left to do before they could even think about making a move.
"All in due time though; we shouldn't try to rush these things," he mused before looking back to her and stepping forward, his eyes now burning with a different level of excitement. He stepped closer to her, closing the distance between so that his chest almost touched hers as his thick dial snaked around hers, his lips hovering against the edge of her ear. "And I didn't bring you all the way out here just to talk battle strategy," he purred, voice smooth like velvet.

Nayva found herself pondering a future with the male lion. She would admit that she hadn't met any other cat like him and he definitely had an air to him that drew her in. She wasn't sure what it was that gave him power over her but there was very clearly something holding her near him. Then you better be on your best behavior. Her rounded ears pricked towards him when she spoke and a soft shrug rippled her shoulder muscles, smirk returning to lift the corners of her mouth. "I'll do my best." She replied, icy blue eyes never leaving his frame as he leaned in.
That's certainly a good start, and several points for me to discuss with my small council. The female jaguar tilted her head to the side a bit as she watched his face while she laid out a couple options for him to ponder over. Blinking once, she could tell that his mind was running wild with all of the ideas and options they had to mull over. They would only get one shot at this and they would have to make sure to get it right the first time. I'll need to know when Magnus is the weakest, however, to know when to trick the guard or what have you to get them away. Perhaps he's caught a cold, or injured himself; every little advantage is necessary. But to find that out... you'd have to be in the castle... Hmm, it's something to think about, Nayva nodded slowly as she too thought over their options. "It would be easy enough to get captured by the city guards, being a wanted criminal and all. That would put me in the dungeons under the palace. If I was able to escape them, navigating the palace shouldn't be too hard." She offered though it was just a rough idea. She wasn't sure how well it would work but it was something to think about.
All in due time though; we shouldn't try to rush these things, Nayva nodded in reply to his words, rushing things would only cause errors to occur and end in their failure. Her mind was still pondering tactics when she saw that his mood and attention had shifted to other things. Snapping her out of her thoughts, Nayva felt her smirk start to reappear on her lips as he moved closer to her. Licking her lips, the male seemed to wrap around her, his lips soon lingering near her ear. And I didn't bring you all the way out here just to talk battle strategy. Her smirk only grew at his words and she lifted her chin a bit, glancing at him from the corner of her eyes. "No? What else would I have to offer a king?" She questioned playing innocent though her smirk gave away her real desires and intentions.

COME LITTLE LIGHT
come away to the darkness
I'll do my best. Cadoc smirked, drinking in her soft sarcasm like it alone could sustain him. Everything about her seemed so perfect. Her personality spoke to his soul, ignited something deep within him that made him feel so alive and perhaps, happy. She had potential, potential that he couldn't even wrap his mind around yet. His entire psyche was devoted to resisting any semblance of love, too afraid that letting someone that close to him would only result in the same heartache he'd been left with when he'd left his family. He couldn't love her, and yet some part of his subconscious realized he wanted to. He wanted to be able to let go, to start working toward a true future where perhaps, she could be the queen at his side once they took the city. His mind was so trained to not let it happen though. He'd use her body, let her rear cubs for him, but they'd never be anything more than partners. Or at least, that's what he continued to tell himself.
It would be easy enough to get captured by the city guards, being a wanted criminal and all. That would put me in the dungeons under the palace. If I was able to escape them, navigating the palace shouldn't be too hard. His ears twitched, fur automatically bristling at the thought of allowing her to be captured. It was a splendid idea in that it would get her inside the castle, but there was a very real possibility that she wouldn't get out. The lion didn't want to be forced to make the decision between letting her rot there and giving up his plans to mount an offense to charge in and take her. No, it was simply too dangerous; they'd need a pawn. "I'm not sure, but we'll work something out. My small council will be eager to give us plenty of suggestions I'm sure," he returned before changing the subject.
No?What else would I have to offer a king? He lips curled as he lifted a brow, turning his head back just slightly so that he could see the side of her face. He made a pleased noise when he saw the expression scrawled across her face. "Mmm, don't play coy with me," he purred against her ear, parting his lips to let his teeth graze across the tender flesh. "I can think of a few things... A few things that body of yours can do for me." He leaned forward, letting his thick, manned chest press against hers.

Love was a foolish thing. Something for cubs to dream about but nothing more. She'd lost her mother, the only one she'd ever felt any form of love for. And she'd lost her mother because of her ruthless father. She'd never met her father but when he'd sent guards to kill her as well when he'd found out he had a daughter, Nayva wanted nothing to do with the bastard. She knew that deep down she wanted to believe that love could be real. Could be something wonderful that would make your heart flutter and stomach fill with butterflies. But she wasn't foolish. Not that foolish.
I'm not sure, but we'll work something out. My small council will be eager to give us plenty of suggestions I'm sure. She couldn't help but notice his fur bristle when she offered up the suggestion of letting herself be captured so that she would be in the palace. A smile threatened to spread across lips at the thought that he might actually care if she rotted away in a cell or not but she kept it hidden and only let her usual sly smirk appear on her lips.
The mood of the conversation changed though as she asked what else she had to offer him. Smirk growing even more as he moved around her, his response amusing her even further. Mmm, don't play coy with me. He leaned closer, his teeth grazing her ear and sending a sweet shiver down her spine. I can think of a few things... A few things that body of yours can do for me. A soft chuckle rose from her chest at his words and when he pressed against her, she arched her back, rubbing her body against his chest deviously. Flicking her tail under his chin, a sweet, rumbling purr vibrated her chest as she leaned closer this time. "I can think of a few things too." She replied, licking her lips as her eyes roamed his body once more before rising back to his face.

COME LITTLE LIGHT
come away to the darkness
Cadoc wasn't a stranger to physical affection. The temple was filled with just as many women as there were men and in his time in the jungle he'd had no trouble finding ladies more than willing to satiate his desires. Something was different here though. There was something more special about Nayva, even if his mind wanted to resist the idea. Unlike before, when he'd looked forward to being with a female, any female, his tastes had become more singular. He looked forward to seeing Nayva and now, after today, to being with Nayva. She wasn't just a pretty face but she had true worth to contribute to him, and perhaps that was what made her so much more special to him. He enjoyed being with her even outside of the romance, something that wasn't all that common for the lion.
I can think of a few things too. He groaned as her body reacted to him; she wanted this just as much as he did. He pressed himself against her, letting the length of his body run alongside her as he stepped slowly around behind her, then back up the other side. His teeth toyed the nape of her neck, grazed the tender skin before coming back up to her ear. "Then by all means, do not hesitate," he purred, before making his way around her with gentle licks and nips.
---fade to blaaaaack---
A rough purr rumbled from his chest as he snaked his way back up her side, nose nuzzling against the soft flesh of her neck. He was so content and yet still there was a dread deep in his chest, as he knew the jaguar would soon return to the city. "You're going to have to move to the temple someday," he said, voice just above a whisper as his knees buckled and he positioned himself on the ground beside her.
Post by Nayva Aeron on Jul 18, 2015 7:18:11 GMT -5
It seemed like every time she was with him, she felt more powerful, more wanted than ever before. Being wanted, in a way such as this, was something that Nayva was very familiar with. And yet there was something more to this than just the physical attraction they both clearly felt for one another. She wasn't sure if he was playing her or not but she didn't care much at the moment. It wasn't that she was in love with him, she didn't believe in such foolish things, let alone what it would feel like to love another. She'd lost that a long time ago when she'd lost her mother at the paws of her father.
But she was guessing that what she felt for Cadoc was more than just like. She pushed those thoughts from her mind though as he circled her and she rose to her paws but didn't shift position. He was all around her, teeth nipping and teasing at her neck. A purr rumbled up in her chest and she arched her back as she rubbed her body against his, thoroughly enjoying feeling his muscle pelt pressed against hers.
Then by all means, do not hesitate. With the challenge slipping from her lips, she took hold of it and wasted no time in showing him what she could do.
--------------------fade to black--------------------------
When it was all over, he moved back up to her head, nuzzling her neck. She rubbed her head against his shoulder, smile on her face before sitting down beside him. You're going to have to move to the temple someday. His words made a soft purr slip past her lips as she glanced over at him. "Someday soon, I hope." She replied, though they both knew she would be of more help to the cause in the city where she could keep an eye on the going on's of the guards and Magnus. But she could always feel her heart wanting to pull her back out into the jungle. Back to him.

COME LITTLE LIGHT
come away to the darkness
Someday soon, I hope. There were advantages to both scenarios, though his emotions caused him to heavily favor her staying in the jungle. There were a lot of things to do, a lot of intel to gather and connections to be made. She was the cat for the job, the one that could keep ties between him and the city. She could also do a great deal of good in the temple though. Having children to fight for him would be a blessing and Nayva was the perfect cat to provide him with some.
He sighed as he pulled away, brow creasing as if in thought. "Maybe it wouldn't hurt for you to stay with us for a while, before we buckle down and begin making moves," he mused, tail flicking as he glanced away. He wanted to have children before they tried to take the city, since there was a very real possibility that he may never make it back out. He sighed again as he looked back at her, pressing his muzzle against the side of her neck. "We'll see where the next few weeks take us. For now return to the city, Nayva." He nuzzled gently against her neck before pulling away, a soft smile tugging at his lips.
Post by Nayva Aeron on Jul 26, 2015 11:43:29 GMT -5
She could tell that he was pondering things, fighting with himself on what to do now. Maybe it wouldn't hurt for you to stay with us for a while, before we buckle down and begin making moves. She remained silent and nodded a bit in agreement with whatever he decided but he could tell that she didn't seem to have convinced himself that her staying with him in the temple like he wanted was the best thing for their cause.
His muzzle pressed against the side of her neck and she closed her eyes for a moment as she leaned into his sweet gesture. We'll see where the next few weeks take us. For now return to the city, Nayva. A small smirk lifted the corners of Nayva's mouth when he seemed to finally have decided that the best thing was to keep her in the city awhile longer. They still needed to know that one important piece of information, when to attack and when Magnus was the weakest.
Once again he nuzzled against her and she rose to her paws before rubbing her head against his shoulder, a soft purr rumbling up from her chest. I'll see you again soon. A soft smile graced the face of the dark king and she didn't think she'd ever seen him smile in that manner before. Usually a smirk was the only form of a smile that lingered on his lips. "We will not be apart for too long." She assured him before giving him one more caring nuzzle and then padding off into the jungle, glancing over her shoulder just once before disappearing into the undergrowth.
