We are an advanced feline and canine rp site that takes place in the lost jungles of Vikos. The life forces of the canines and felines living here are tied to their soul stones. With their soul stone, they are able to grow in power and strength. Without it, they will weaken and die. Many abilities and powers can be acquired from the soul stones. How powerful you get, is up to you though.

FALL - The temperature is starting to fall a bit as it starts to cool off. The sun isn't as hot and the relief from the heat is much needed.

It was only when Niqolairi snapped out of his "walking trances," as he called them, that he realized he had even fallen into them. By now his feet seemed to know the courses he took through towering trees, musty foliage, and the occasional mist which fell over the no-mans-land he had come to (perhaps ironically) call home. Often the last came with rain, and often came the rain. He had always been fascinated by the necessity and mysterious vitality of the sky-given water. Without it, none of the flora and fauna around him could have come to be. It came and went as it pleased, always nurturing without any cause or payment. It was only water, but... there was something to be learned from everything, given time.
Not even the first drops had drawn Niq from his silent musing. His back wasn't quite rolling with water by the time he returned to reality, but it certainly was well on his way. This time his mind had wandered to shapes. Simple shapes. The gentle curve of ancient trees, jagged patterns carved by fluid cascades into impenetrable rock, the perfect imperfections of leaves, all cut from the same idea yet different in minute ways. A bend here, a wrinkle there, the faintest of different odors from each individual all with the same tying theme and parent. Some held their shape, perfect for keepsakes, others crumbled before they had even fallen from the branch. Somehow he had then attributed mere little leaves to the traits of more complex beasts...
And then, an unknown time later, the moisture under his paws and slipping down his nose returned him to where he apparently needed to be; he could have done without the jarring shudder which shook his shoulders, yet allowed it to strengthen into a hearty shake to rid himself of some of the unfortold rain. Time to pick up the pace.
But something stopped him. A smell creeping through the dampening and dulling of the rain. That of life. That of... he couldn't quite place it, but something in that signature brought his mane up a fraction in worry. Everything else could wait. Changing course on a dime, Niqolairi shifted from a leisurely, lanky walk into a gallop, eyes and nose searching for the source of the... distress? Was that it? Perhaps, but there was only one way to be sure: find whatever poor beast happened to be out in the pending deluge.

Asra was lost, yet again. It seemed to be a recurring thing now that she was in this big jungle all by herself. She didn't know which way would lead her back to the Lucis Temple and she was all sorts of turned around. She hadn't been planning on venturing off this far but she'd taken chase after a bird that she'd even almost been able to catch if it hadn't been able to fly, or move.. But that wasn't the point now. The point now was that she was lost and she didn't know which way to go. Great, she thought as she trudged through the trees, trying to see if any of them looked familiar to no avail.
A saddened sigh escaped her lips and she plopped down on her hind end as she gave up for a moment. She didn't know which way to go and just when she had found a place that was a bit like a home, she'd gotten lost again. She hung her head a bit and took in a shaky breath before her rounded ears pricked up as she heard the sound of something or someone approaching very quickly. Her heart started racing and she could only imagine who or what was after her. She found a bush and quickly tried to hide herself under it but she got stuck halfway and could only cover her eyes with her large paws and hope that whatever was chasing her wouldn't see her.
If Isra had been there, the little tigress would have stood up and fought whatever was coming. But she was alone and she had been alone for so long now that she was tired or fighting. She was scared and while she normally wouldn't admit that to anyone, she was admitting it to herself. Her body shook a bit as she hid under the bush, hoping whatever it was would pass her up and not even notice she was there. Maybe whatever it was, wasn't even after her. If only that would be true.

The rain did nothing to help track down the quickly sharpening scent of fear. Heavy drops pattering down on fallen leaves masked the frenzy of rustling he'd caught on to moments before, water rolled into his eyes to make already fairly low visibility even less reliable. For the better part of a minute he barreled forward. The rain was only sure to get worse, and he doubted anyone would want to be caught alone without shelter. Luckily, he had some to offer, knew this land well by now. Helping wasn't a choice; it was a necessity.
However, after a while, he was forced to slow enough to roughly shake his head, ridding the droplets from his lashes and eyes to the best of his ability. When he opened them again, lo and behold, what should he happen to immediately see but a tawny, downy rear poking out from a bush.
His heart couldn't decide on sinking into the pit of his stomach or racing into his throat.
As the smell was the strongest he'd yet to encounter and far more clear than before, he could only assume that the little one was the source. Even if they weren't, priorities shifted yet again. Children came first, no matter their color, their species, their standings in any regard; Niq would never leave a cub or pup behind. Especially not in the deluge which was swiftly unleashing its vengeance on the jungle.
Slowly, gently, he lowered himself from his admittedly formidable height to brush his chest against damp foliage, creeping forward just enough to catch sight of the little tiger's covered face. Best not to scare them-- her?-- any more than he already had. When he spoke, he did so with a small smile and kept his voice only just audible over the pounding rain.
"Hello, there. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. Are you alright?"

Asra's paws raised up to cover her eyes, her body shaking both from the cold and the fear of being found by something that wanted to make her it's lunch. After all, lone cubs out in the jungle on their own made the best snacks for large predators. The rustling came closer and closer until it finally stopped.
The little tigress remained where she was, frozen in place though she did dare to uncover her eyes. Maybe what ever had been coming towards her changed directions or lost interest. She hoped and prayed that either of those lies were true but soon the smell of a canine reached her nose. A wet canine at that.
Scrunching up her nose a bit, she glanced around her in search of the source of the scent to come nose to nose with a large canine of a species she had never seen before. Her eyes widened as she looked him over, shuffling backwards a foot or two despite his less than scary words. Hello, there. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. Are you alright?"Who are you!? What do you want? I don't taste good if you're planning on eating me. I'm just a bunch of bones. Quite awful really." She began to ramble, backing herself up against a tree and rising up onto her hind legs as if her being slightly taller would make her scary.
She had heard of canines and knew what they looked like but she'd never seen a canine like this one before. His legs were almost too long for his body and he had long fur along the scruff of his neck. His coat was a cooper color while his legs were black. She wasn't quite sure what to think of him and she definitely had no idea what he would want with her.
