Rise and Shine {Reeves}

“Yes, I think you’re too pretty for your own good. And silly too,” Shali stated playfully, gently shaking her head at the same time. Thoughts were consistently going through her mind then, but they refused to leave her lips. She figured that they were best kept to herself up to this point, if she ever said them at all. Wolves and Lions were two separate species all their own, which is why she lived here in Kyon instead of somewhere else instead. That was just the way things worked out for now, maybe in the future sometime things would change. Until then, Shali would remain here as the Beta wolf, doing what she was called upon to do. It was good to have a home amongst her adopted family, and outside companions as well.

 
A soft sighed echoed her thin, black lips as she listened to what Reeves had to say to her. There was nothing that she could do to change the circumstances, and they were what they were. She knew that in her heart of hearts from the very beginning, but momentarily pushed the idea away. But there were a few positive benefits of this meeting admittedly. Shali felt like she had made a new friend, and she’d had a good time splashing around in the water too. The pools had become a place of friendship instead of enemies as expected. Her dark fur was still wet and spiked in some areas as evidence, and that made her a little happier. All skepticism that the she-wolf had before was completely gone.

When the promise was made to her, Shali perked up even more, and she nodded once in acceptance. That’ll have to make due for now she supposed, and said so. “Alright, I’ll hold you to that promise. I don’t know when or where you’ll return, but you’re permanently stuck with me when you get back.” A laugh erupted once more from the wolf before she stood to her paws to get ready to leave.

“Until later then,” she said, “Good luck with your journey and safe travels.”
