So...Hello there. I do this every time I'm on a new RP site just to get to know every one, so...Here I go, I guess. First off, I'll say that this is my second time on an advanced RP site but I'm still not 100% sure on how to navigate around here. This should be my OOC account, but how do I mark it as such? I apologize if it was already written somewhere. Don't be surprised if I ask lots of questions, since my policy is "Better safe than sorry". Now a little bit about me. It may seem a bit silly but I'm a tad afraid of stating my real name on the Internet, so please just call me Maki! I live in Europe, Italy. Again, I'm a bit uncomfortable stating this but this is mainly so you know that my time zone is way off compared to anyone living in the states or some other part of the world. That means if I don't reply quickly, I'm probably asleep. Don't worry about me not knowing english, it's basically my second language. I read and write a lot in English so I consider myself literate...Though I'd rather let others judge. Writing a long post isn't a problem for me either. The main problem for me is when I'm actually writing it. You see, I access this site via an IPad, and a very glitchy one at that. So it's happened to me several times that I'm writing a huge, 500+ words long post and...SURPRISE! Tha app crashes and I lose all my progress. This makes me feel really demotivated and I just loose all the will to write. This sneaky little thing also deleted all the stories I had written once, too. I almost wanted to cry. My main hobby is drawing. I really, really love drawing and I want it to become my career. I consider myself good at it, but, once again, I'd rather let others judge. Speaking of which, another question: when I post my character application, can I put a drawing of it instead of a picture? This is too avoid copyright issues since I don't know any sites that have a lot of photos that aren't subject to copyright or that you can use without asking permission, and I don't have the luxury of photographing big cats myself, though I would, given the chance. If asking all these questions seems inappropriate on this specific board, please tell me and I'll ask them somewhere else. What else can I say...Well...I love my country's food. American food is good too, because I need my fair share of meat as well every now and then. I love anime and manga ; Hetalia, Fullmetal Alchemist, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Hataraku-Maou-Sama! Are among my favorites. I love chatting about this genre, however I am not really into anime-manga based RPs and prefer animal based ones. I also love reading, Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings are my all-time favorites, while the Italian series called "Cronache del mondo Emerso" (literally "Chronicles of the lost world". It's a shame they didn't translate it in English, it's a really good read that deserves more attention) is close second. I consider myself a friendly and extroverted person, so if you want to just chat or talk for no reason at all I don't mind and will do so gladly. I joined this site because I loved the plot and idea and it seemed like a very organized site. Also, the link worked, since nine out of ten links to RP sites I try out never work for some reason. All in all, I'm very excited to create my character and start role playing, a thing I'm particularly looking forward too is having my character claw her way up to the top of the military rankings, it just sounds like so much fun to me...I wonder if it sounds weird, written like this. So, I look forward to role playing with you all, and hope we can do so for a long time! This looks like a site with lots of potential, and I'd hate if it dies.
P.S. I often switch keyboards to chat with my italian buddies, and sometimes I forget to switch it back to the english one, which means my sworn enemy autocorrect, now italian, will jump in and "correct" my words, resulting in a word like "paw" turning into "parte" (literally means "part"). I correct these kinds of mistakes as soon as I see them, however, I am quite distracted and might not notice them, so don't be afraid to tell me if it happens! I don't get mad if someone corrects my grammar, as long as it's not, well...I think you can go figure. That's all!
P.P.S. I just noticed there was a get know each other thread...That just shows you how distracted I tend to be. I hope you don't mind if I write this anyway...
There is never any need to worry about asking too many questions, as questions are what make sure we are all on the same page! I'm Nala, the creator and admin here at Soul Stones. Definitely not silly to not want to say your real name on the internet, I don't either since Nala isn't my real name. It's really cool that you live in Italy! I've always wanted to go there though I'm stuck in the states myself.
Oh no! Glitchy iPads are the worst! I feel the same way when I lose a post, especially a long one that I've been working on for awhile so I don't blame you there. I always have to leave it alone for awhile and then come back to it later. We've got drawing in common and I would absolutely love to see some of your work! I haven't drawn much lately but I have at least three sketchbooks full of my sketches and doodles.
You can most definitely use a drawing as your character picture! No worries at all there! And this is the perfect board for any questions you may have. It's a random board for anything random you may want to ask or talk about. You can never go wrong with Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings!
I'm so glad you decided to join us and thank you so much for the compliments on the site and plot! It took a lot of work to get all the details figured out and to get it all pieced together and I'm very determined to get this site flourishing and populated! I absolutely love the idea of having a character rank up in the army! I always thought it would be a fun challenge to rp!
Soul Stones dying would be terrible and I'm bound and determined to not let that happen so with your help, we should have a good long run of rping together! No worries about the auto correct thing either, I get very distracted as well so I know the feeling. Also I have a 3 month old Dalmatian puppy who is constantly getting into things so I'm always distracted by him and then come back to my computer and have to remember what I was doing again.
And no worries, we did have an introductions board already but you are more than welcome to post here as well.

oh my goodness! hello! I'm cuban american, and I can barely write in spanish, let alone creative writing. Speaking is okay, depending on who it's with (you'd be amazed the different type of dialects that get thrown around in "spanish") I don't think I could write properly on an ipad to be honest. It would bother me endlessly with the touch screen >~< then again I'm old school, I bought a new laptop recently and I drove the sales guy insane because I refused to have one of those touch screen tops that disconnects from the keyboard...and most of the "laptops" out are like that. I ended up special ordering it from a company :\ I feel old. He didn't understand I wasn't going to be checking stock markets and playing candy crush on it. I needed Microsoft WORD. XD
I just joined recently, so I understand the ambition of wanting to climb up the soul stone ladder. I'm hoping to make my charrie go up XD I hope we can rp. What kind of character are you lookin to make?

It's really cool that you live in Italy! I've always wanted to go there though I'm stuck in the states myself.
