The young tigress was thoroughly alone in the world now. Her sister Isra had left her, her mother had been killed right in front of her eyes and there was no telling where her half brother Tejas was. He could be dead as well for all she knew. And as for her father, well she didn't really want to see him ever again. She was ashamed to say that she was related to such a murderous killer. Not only that but her father had never seemed to care much for Asra or her sister Isra. All he cared about was getting a son. Daughters apparently meant nothing to him.
Fury radiated off her pelt much like the summer sun but she forced her mind to wander somewhere else. There was no use wasting energy getting worked up about her no good father or her missing and dead family members. She was alone now and while she knew she should try to find Isra, she had no idea where to start. She was already a young tiger cub out in the jungle on her own. How was she suppose to track down her missing sister when she didn't even know which way was up out here. No, she would definitely need some help that was for sure. But first, she had to find another cat.
So far she'd only be fortunate enough to find prey animals scurrying about. She'd managed to catch a few mice and birds but nothing to fill her up for more than a few hours. Her stomach already begun to growl again at the brief thought of food and she groaned inwardly before forcing her feet forward. She needed help. But who was she going to find that would help a cub like her out here in the jungle? She'd probably end up being something's lunch if she wasn't careful.
Larue waltzed through the jungle with an air of confidence that radiated more brightly than usual. It was a walk of accomplishment; one that was so invigorating she couldn't hide it from her features and stride. It was the walk of a successful hunt. While her stone could almost secure a meal whenever she needed it, sometimes the lioness would put herself back to a place before the stones. Back when every hunt was almost purely out of desperation and dire need. It was back to the time where she and her sisters needed to hunt as successfully as possible and her light coat put them all at a disadvantage. It was a long time ago, and she had come very far from it, but she never forgot her roots. The powers of the soul stones were mysterious ones. She would never truly know if there were additional effects that it had that assisted her when doing her everyday things even when she didn't want it to, but she didn't dwell on that. In the end, she wasn't dependant on it at all times, and thats all that mattered.
In her walk, Larue came across the most curious sight. It was a tiger cub, all alone in the jungle. The little one's pelt was so bright and pale in the deep green, she probably could have been spotted from miles away. That being said, how would her parents ever lose sight of her? Sniffing around, Larue found that it was a fair distance from Naxorus. A cub so young couldn't have strolled this far without someone noticing, right? Or was it a jungler's cub?
Larue began to approach the cub, from in front of her to not startle her, to get a better look. The catches and clumps in her fur would confirm that if not a jungle cat, she had definitely been here for a while. That usually had bad implications...in the rough environment of the jungle, cats of all ages could meet a sudden and abrupt death. It was very likely that the little one was an orphan. She had to be sensitive about this. Larue gave the young one a gentle smile and spoke in her caring but assertive motherly tone.
"Hello, young one. It isn't often that I get to see such a beautifully blooming flower like that of a young tiger around here."

Asra continued to move through the undergrowth carefully. She knew that she was already at a disadvantage because of her coat color. Instead of being the normal orange with black stripes, she was gifted a golden orange coat with a creamy white underbelly and darker golden orange stripes. She didn't blend into her surroundings very well and she knew it.
Her rounded ears were constantly swiveling in an attempt to hear anything that tried to sneak up on her. It wasn't long before she heard the paw steps of another creature coming towards her. Her pale golden eyes sought out the source though it didn't take long to see the lioness coming towards her as she made no move to hide her approach.
Ears instinctively pinned against her head and her little fangs showed as she prepared to hiss at this newcomer, unsure if this would bring danger. Hello, young one. It isn't often that I get to see such a beautifully blooming flower like that of a young tiger around here. The lioness' voice was what calmed the tigress down a little, her words holding no anger or desire to hurt the cub.
Pulling herself up from her crouched defensive position, Asra flicked her ears up to catch the kind words the female spoke. "Um... can you tell me where I am?" Asra asked cautiously, her eyes glancing around in case there were other cats that had come with the lioness. "And who are you?" She added when she'd finally convinced herself that no others were going to jump out at her from the sides.

"Hear me roar"
@ubby
Notes: Upupu~
Oh yes, she was definitely a jungle cat. The cubs of Naxorus were all too friendly to strangers, which Larue supposed was a double-edged sword. It meant that their parents were comfortable enough to not stress the dangers of other cats enough, but the dangers of the jungles awaited just outside...
Regardless, the small cub quickly established that she wasn't a threat, and Larue sat patiently with her smile all the while. She wanted to hear the little one's story, but that could wait for now. First she needed to get her into a safe place.
"My name is Larue Katsaros. I am a healer in a temple for light seekers not too far from here." Larue explained, daring to walk a little closer. "Right now, you are nearby a common hunting ground. It can be quite dangerous for a cub to venture to. Are you looking for someone there?" Larue inquired, "I'd be happy to help you find them if you are." she added. Her words were sincere; it was already hard enough for a parent to get by in the jungle. The added stress of not knowing where your cub is sounded dreadful to Larue.

Asra let her muscles relax and her fur lay flat again when she finally decided that for the moment this female lion was not going to cause her any harm. She seemed calm and caring, as if she were a mother herself. Rounded ears pricking towards the lioness as she answered the questions asked of her, Asra glanced around when the female spoke on their location. My name is Larue Katsaros. I am a healer in a temple for light seekers not too far from here. Right now, you are nearby a common hunting ground. It can be quite dangerous for a cub to venture to. Are you looking for someone there? Asra forced her pale eyes on the female in front of her and she went back to the lioness' name.
"I'm Asra." She introduced herself before her mind once again wandered to thoughts of her sister, still lost out in the world on her own. "Yes, I'm looking for my sister. She's smaller than me and is white with black stripes. We got separated a couple of days ago and I really need to find her." Asra explained, her words picking up speed as she glanced around once more in hopes that her sister would magically appear at the mention of her name.
Sighing when no others stepped out from the jungle foliage, Asra turned her full attention to Larue. "You said you live in a temple near here? Did my sister pass by there?" She asked, taking a step closer in hopes that Larue would have good news regarding her sister.
Larue continued to look at the cub with soft and warm eyes. She tried to maintain her smile even as Asra began to tell her grim news about her sister being missing. She wanted to tell her that the cub was safe and nourished at the temple, relaxing in the cool shade of the walls.
"Unfortunately I haven't. But don't lose hope yet, little one. I have eyes in many corners of this jungle." Larue stated with a playful wink. She looked at the area around her, hoping that she would spot another tiger that could possibly be the little one's guardian. When she didn't see any cat of noticeable tiger heritage, she walked up to the cub. "I ask you stay close to my side. We will find her together, and then I will take you both to my catch so you can eat well."
The powerful lioness began to stride through the hunting grounds with a posture and look that denoted power and protection; the look of a queen, but also the look of a protective mother. All who saw quickly took note to avoid her at the moment. "We will find her, and I will assure you two have somewhere safe to go." Though she hoped that "somewhere safe" would be with the cub's own mother or father. Being alone at so young could be very detrimental to an already somewhat antisocial cat like a tiger.

Unfortunately I haven't. But don't lose hope yet, little one. I have eyes in many corners of this jungle.Hearing that the lioness hadn't seen her sister, the little tigress' shoulders sagged and she slumped a bit at the thought of her little sister out there on her own. She had been having a hard enough trime trying to feed and keep herself alive, she could only imagine how much of a challenge it must be for her sister who wasn't quite as strong or brave as Asra was. I ask you stay close to my side. We will find her together, and then I will take you both to my catch so you can eat well. Asra rose to her paws slowly, unsure if this mystery lioness would actually be able to find her sister or not. But she didn't have any other options at the moment. "What if we don't find her...?" She dared to ask, knowing that she would rather know now versus later.
Asra walked close by Larue's side, her pale golden eyes glancing nervously about as they stepped out into the hunting grounds that had a few groups of cats scattered about the area. A few of them looked at the small cub and licked their lips which sent Asra ducking underneath Larue and walking directly under the lioness, occasionally poking her head out between the female's front legs. We will find her, and I will assure you two have somewhere safe to go. Asra glanced up at the lioness as they continued moving through the hunting grounds, no other cat so much as moved a muscle towards them, as if the two cats were in some sort of safety bubble. "Will we go to your temple with you?" Asra asked, her eyes still scanning the area in case one of the other cats tried something tricky.
The young tiger had quite a bleak outlook for a child, though Larue figured that it was simply pragmatism in an environment like this. She noted the way the wild cats looked at the cub and reflected on it. Larue could see a younger and far more naive version of herself overflowing with outrage when she saw a tiger giving such looks to her young cubs and wondering what sort of sick kind of cat would even think about it. Now she could understand, and was seeing, how this is a learned behavior. All this reinforced the thought that she needed to find the young cub soon. "In most lands, that would guarantee that an ill fate has befallen your sister. But this jungle, and the kingdom, and these stones are full of hope far beyond what the eye can witness." Larue reassured.
The winds all throughout the hunting ground began to whirl and whistle unnaturally, flowing through all the grass and trees in the area. It swept over every animal in the plains before rushing to Larue and filling her nostrils with an overwhelming sensory information. She stood still for a moment, sorting it all. Excluding all non-tiger creatures, she could only smell the must of a male and the hormones of a mother tiger in on the hunting grounds at the moment. "The temple is open to all who are seeking healing and relief, but it is a home to anyone who is there for safety, security, and goodness." Larue offered with a smile. She looked down at the cub between her with the first glimpse of what could become a frown. "I don't know the right way to ask this but...I've picked up on the scent of a mother tiger in this area. Could this be your mother or...?"

Asra had been through far more than any cub should ever have to go through, especially at such a young age. She wasn't even a year old yet and already she had seen her mother killed in front of her very eyes. She'd also gotten no attention or love from her father and her father had been the one to kill her mother. Now she had lost her sister in this huge jungle and she didn't even know if her brother was alive or not. It was all far too much for any cub to have to endure but Asra had done just that. She'd endured and she was continuing to do so. But she wasn't stupid and she knew that with each passing minute, it grew less and less likely that they would find her sister again.
In most lands, that would guarantee that an ill fate has befallen your sister. But this jungle, and the kingdom, and these stones are full of hope far beyond what the eye can witness. Larue's words lifted a bit of the heavy weight off of Asra's shoulders at the thought that maybe her sister was still alive and maybe they would find her. The temple is open to all who are seeking healing and relief, but it is a home to anyone who is there for safety, security, and goodness. Asra felt a small smile start to spread across her face at the thought of having someplace to stay that would be safe.
It had been awhile since she'd been able to call someplace safe. Her body was tired from the traveling as well as the small amounts of sleep she'd been managing to get when she was brave enough to close her eyes and stop watching her back. Asra felt safer with Larue and she trotted along a bit, still walking underneath the female, keeping pace so she was right under the female's chin.
I don't know the right way to ask this but...I've picked up on the scent of a mother tiger in this area. Could this be your mother or...? Asra's ears pricked up at the sound of the lioness' voice and she tilted her head back so she could meet the gaze of Larue before glancing down at her paws and shaking her head. "No... my mother is dead. She was killed... by my father." Asra began, her pacing slowing down a bit as the memories came back to her. "He never really wanted daughters. Said he only kept my mother around so he could get a son." She added though she soon became lost in her thoughts.
Even though Larue had the growing suspicion that it would be the case, she was still a little crestfallen to hear it coming from the young one. What was even worse was the explanation that came from Asra. When the tiger cub began to slow down, so did Larue, looking down at her with the cloudy gray of her eyes slowly being painted with a hint of sorrow.
"Your father must be either blind or a fool to not see the great cat that you are destined to become, Asra." Larue said lowly. She gave her a moment to collect herself. Larue needed one herself. She was naturally a very empathetic lioness, but something about what Asra said and how she said it triggered a sort of affinity from Larue. Despite her grandiose and eloquent behavior now, Larue came from a very primitive and basic lion pride. Her father only cared about his mates and probably do something far worse than dismiss his daughters if not kept in line. Her sisters, cousins, and aunts only cared about hunting. There was always so many mouths to feed that she couldn't blame them, but because of her peculiar coloring, Larue always felt disregarded. She was just sort of assumed to be worthless because of how she was born. Its what compelled Larue to be the greatest hunter she could be, and if Asra's resilience up to this point was any indication, Larue knew that she would be just as ambitious if given the chance.
Larue wondered if her sister will be the same way.
"Well then, we better get going before it gets dark." Larue said, suddenly snapping back to full attention.Perking up once again, Larue finished the stroll with Asra through the hunting grounds into the richer, denser forest.

Asra hung her head and looked at her paws as she thought over her past which wasn't an uncommon thing. There were plenty of nights where she would stay up, unable to sleep due to fear of being alone or the thought of her father coming after her to kill her too. Your father must be either blind or a fool to not see the great cat that you are destined to become, Asra. The young tigress looked up at Larue as she spoke and a small smile began to form on the cub's face. "You really think I'm destined to be great!?" She asked, smile still growing at the thought that simple old her could be destined to do great things.
Asra's mind began to wander a bit but this time she began to think of all of the things she could possibly do when she grew up. Maybe once she was bigger and stronger she would be able to keep herself and her family safe. If she ever saw her family again.
Shaking her head, Asra knew she couldn't think like that. She had to be positive and Larue's positive mood was rubbing off on the cub as she picked up her pace to keep up with the lioness now that they weren't in the hunting grounds anymore. Well then, we better get going before it gets dark. "Are we going to your temple?" Asra asked, glancing back up at Larue as she moved out from underneath the lioness now that she was feeling a bit braver, not having other cats staring at her.
The smile on the little cub's face lightened Larue's step and filled her with so much energy. She was glad to see it wasn't too late for the young one to lose her smile after all she had been through. She knew that life out in the jungle could make you weary and broken quickly. Asra was a strong one indeed.
"The fact that you can smile and be hopeful through what has happened to you is just a hint of your greatness spilling through." Larue answered honestly, returning the smile. She could see that the cub was struggling with the thoughts and griefs that wanted to overtake her, but the fact that Asra was fighting them and willing to team up with Larue to do something about it meant that this was a cat who would rise to a challenge. Those types of cats tended to have powerful soul stones...hopefully she can take her and her sister under her wing.
"I think that yes, you should rest at the temple. You'll want to be in tip top condition when you reunite with your sister." Larue started with a chuckle. She would take her to the pools so she could have a bath later. Larue lowered her head to Asra's level, her smile melting into a more serious look. "I have a daughter at the temple who can watch you and bring you the kill. I've still got some energy, so I will continue searching until my paws can carry me no more. I promise you."
