Reeves had agreed to meet Vino at the outskirts of the city in an hour or so. That would give Vino time to retrieve his son and get them something to eat before they made the long trek to the city. Luckily they weren't too far off so the journey wouldn't be too terrible. However by the time they got there, Reeves showed them around and showed them where they would be staying, it would be getting dark. Reeves went ahead to the palace and met with his brother, acquiring a house in the middle class that was unoccupied and could be given to Vino and his son until Vino was able to pay to live there.
Once he'd finished speaking with Magnus, Reeves headed down to the Agora and then skimmed across to the outskirts of the middle class housing. From there he walked the line of the jungle where the houses ended, lifting his nose to try and scent them as well as scanning the jungle with his blue eyes in search of the cheetah and his son.
He knew that he wanted to come back to live in Naxorus once again. He hoped he would be able to figure out his powers and he was planning on visiting his mother again very soon in order to see what tips she might have. In the end, he wanted to do it on his own because he didn't still want to hurt anyone on accident but at the same time, after his disappointment of chasing legends, he decided he needed some help from real people, not mysterious whispers of people.
Thoughts swarmed his head as he pawed the familiar trail towards his cove, he was making a huge decision by joining the city. Finding employment and living there meant long term and the cheetah wasn't used to such environments. His previous clan was nomadic, they constantly traveled and never slept in any semblance of buildings, always under the open sky and stars. Vino was regretful, in a way, to lose that aspect of his life but in making this change he was gaining more than he would be losing. Ultimately it was worth it, for his son to grow up in a safe environment and with a good education, Vino would put Hyro's needs above his own like any good father. He clutched the rodent tighter in his jaws, a kill he had made on his way over, it would serve as breakfast for now.
As he approached his hideout the unmistakable sounds of something rustling drew his attention, peeking into the entrance the cheetah saw a small figure playing with a butterfly, pawing at it and occasionally jumping to try and catch it. Vino purred and stepped closer, dropping the meat onto the leaves with a soft thump. At seeing Vino the cub lit up, quickly running over to greet him and began to dig into his meal. "Hyro, I have found a place for us to stay in the city, let us go once you are finished with your meal."
The cub took no time scarfing down everything and soon they where off, treading the path towards the city as per instructions of the lion on where to meet him. After traveling for a while they finally reached upon the outskirts of the city, confronted with new sights and smells with every step they took. As they approached the figure of a lion starting forming and by his scent this was the one Vino had met earlier, Reeves.. Hyro ran up first to greet the stranger, excited about being in new territory. Vino greeted the other with a nod and then gestured towards his cub. "Greetings once again, this is my son Hyro."

Reeves stayed in his spot, eyes still scanning the surrounding jungle for any signs of movement that would lead him to the cheetah he was suppose to be meeting. After a bit of time had passed, Reeves caught sight of a cheetah with a cub stepping out of the jungle trees. Smiling, the little cub ran up first and Reeves chuckled a bit at the cub's enthusiasm. Rubbing the top of Hyro's head, Reeves' blue eyes glanced up at Vino as he too came up to him. Greetings once again, this is my son Hyro.
"Nice to meet you Hyro and it's good to see you again as well Vino." Reeves greeted the two of them before nodding towards the city. "Let me show you around." He added before strolling up the dirt path that weaved through the middle class houses that bordered the market or Agora. It didn't take long to get to the house that Vino and Hyro were being given. "Here we are! This will be yours." Reeves explained, pushing open the front door before handing a key to Vino and letting the cheetahs step inside first before he followed.
The building wasn't large but it wasn't small either. It was all very open so everything could be seen from any place in the house. It was sturdy, built out of stones with a roof over the top as well. There were a few windows to let in light and the interior had a table, storage slots in the wall as well as a large grouping of pillows and blankets in the other corner that would serve as a very comfortable bed.
Reeves let the two look around for a moment before turning to Vino. "Here, take these as well. It will help you buy some food and other supplies while you're settling in." He replied, pulling some gold coins out of the pouch he wore around his neck beside his soul stone. Handing them over, he smiled at his new friend before glancing over at Hyro who was having a hay day bouncing around on the pillows and blankets.
Vino took in his surroundings as he followed Reeves, taking in the atmosphere Naxorus had to offer. They weaved through a comfotable dirt path between the homes before stopping in front of what the Cheetah presumed would be his.
"Here we are! This will be yours." Hyro wasted no time in bouncing in the room exploring it eagerly as the other two followed. It was a nice size for Hyro and him, moderately furnished and nice open windows to let in the sunlight. It also included a resting area that his son was already investigating thoroughly. Vino only looked on in amusement, he would let his cub have fun no need to ruin the moment by reprimanding him although a flick of his tail let the cub know to tone it down slightly.
"Here, take these as well. It will help you buy some food and other supplies while you're settling in." Vino took the coins gratefully but also slightly apprehensively as he was never comfortable with handouts and had to remind himself he was planning on working to pay off everything he was given. If he considered them loans rather than gifts it made him much more comfortable. "I am in your debt Reeves, know that I will work for what I have been given and will not take it for granted." After a pause to collect his thoughts Vino continued, "You have greatly helped me and my son, how can I repay you for this?"

Reeves couldn't help but enjoy the site of the cub having so much fun zooming around the open space. A smile lifted the corners of the lion's mouth and he remembered when he was young and carefree like the cub. I am in your debt Reeves, know that I will work for what I have been given and will not take it for granted. The young lion smiled and nodded to the male cheetah. "I'm not worried my friend. I'm just glad to have some friends here. I've been roaming the jungle on my own for awhile. It will be nice to have someplace stable again." He confessed, assuming that Vino probably knew how lonely it could be out in the jungle, constantly having to watch your back and keep yourself alive. He may not have been as lonely thanks to having his son with him but that had probably added pressure as well, knowing he had another life to look out for besides just himself.
Eyes glancing back over at the cub, he turned to look at Vino when the father spoke again. You have greatly helped me and my son, how can I repay you for this?"Don't worry about it right now. I'm not doing all this simply because I want to have something over you." Reeves assured him though he could tell that Vino wasn't one to just take something and not do something in return. "Would you like me to show you the city now?" He asked, glancing over at Hyro to see if the young cheetah cub had slowed down at all.
Vino nodded, understanding where Reeves was coming from. The jungle was indeed lonely and it did a number on stress and nerves, always having to watch your back on wondering when your next meal would be. Living in the city, while it hinders on freedom it provides a comfortable safe environment and at the least stable meals. Maybe one Hyro is on his own Vino would be able to move on, he quite liked his nomadic upbringing but then again one never knows, perhaps he will take a liking to city life. "Don't worry about it right now. I'm not doing all this simply because I want to have something over you." Vino acknowledged the statement with a deep nod, he supposes it wouldn't hurt to trust others a bit more, besides Reeves had expressed interest in becoming friends. Maybe Vino would be able to give that to him, it's the least he could do. "Yes now would be a good time, lead the way...friend." Vino replied to the lions question of showing him the city, the word friend sounding foreign in his tongue, but he would adjust to it soon enough. Sparing a glance behind him the cheetah gestured for his cub to follow them and Hyro wasted no time bounding next to his father, falling in line next to him. As curious as he was about the world Vino could see the slight anxiety from being exposed to such a new environment, plus the cheetah wasted to keep him close. He didn't want to keep an eye off him lest he get lost.

Reeves somewhat knew what it was like to be living on the road, staying where you liked and surviving. It was exciting and fun and always interesting as you ran into new things and met new people. It had suited Reeves when he'd first feared his powers could harm others. But now that he'd learned there was no soul stone master, he felt better in a way. He realized he could handle his powers on his own. That and he was always one to enjoy the company of others. It didn't have to be the company of a lot of others but Reeves was far too social and goofy to be all by himself for too long.
That was another big part that had brought him back to Naxorus. And he was hoping that Vino and Hyro would enjoy the city just as much as he did. It did feel like home, even if he still didn't think of himself as royal. Yes now would be a good time, lead the way...friend. Reeves felt his excitement return and he felt like Hyro, bouncing around all over the place. Smile spreading across his muzzle again, Reeves nodded and rose to all four paws before heading out of the house and letting Vino shut the door behind them.
Leading the way through the rest of the middle class housing, the three soon came upon the Agora. It was the market place for all of Naxorus. It was all set in a large circle with shops built in strip buildings all around the outside edges, paths and alleys led off the Agora. Then there were stands and tents set up in the middle of the circle. There was also a large fountain with trickling water and all sorts of sights to see. "This is the Agora. You can buy all sorts of things here from jewelry to meat to medicines to hides." He explained, gesturing around to the shops that were actual buildings along the edges and the stands that were set up all over in the middle.
The cheetah walked with ease against the dirt paths, worn with paw prints not unlike his own. Briefly he wondered who else had traveled his same steps, what other lost souls wandered into this city like him in search of a new life. Naxorus wasn't a city of refugees by any means but in a way it was a haven for vagabonds like him. For a moment Vino let his mind drift, thinking back to his late mate, she would've of liked to settle down in a place like this, she always did enjoy the bustle of city life. Vino does not mourn her anymore, long since overcome his grief but he thinks of her still and carries her love and memory in his heart and that is enough for him.
As they approach the market place Vino is struck by new scents and noises, some of the shops where hidden in buildings but many merchants set up tents and stands for all to see their wares. Vino looked on curiously as he passed a jeweler then a herbalist. They fought for his attention like they would win some sort of grand prize if he sopped from their wares, Vino let out a loose chuckle, he could never go into such a profession. Much too noisy for him.
This is the Agora. You can buy all sorts of things here from jewelry to meat to medicines to hides." The cheetah dipped his head in acknowledgement, a little to awestruck to say anything in reply. After all he wasn't used to so much variety in his meal options but the butcher nearby was making quite the show at the diversity he offered. the fish vendor next to him no different. Vino had never tried fish before, perhaps he'll pick some up for dinner for him and Vino. Hyro approached the fountain and peered in, paw coming out to dip into the water a few times Vino didn't blame him, they had never seen anything like it.
"This place is astonishing, I've never seen so much goods in one place before. I can only imagine what else this city holds." Perhaps living in Naxorus would not be so bad after all, he's certainly never in want of anything when it is available so close by and if the guard takes him then he will have no problem earning the coins they use as trades.

Reeves smiled as he looked around the bustling city. He could remember back when he was a young cub, before the city was even a city. Then, him and his siblings had lived up in the palace with just their parents. Once their father had died and they had started to grow, Larue, his mother, had started to take in lost souls. Travelers mostly. They'd come and want to settle in the abandoned buildings the humans had left behind. Larue had allowed them to stay and had in return for their loyalty to the Katsaros family, would show them the wonders of the soul stones her and her mate Vadik had discovered.
After that, the city grew rapidly. Word spread through the jungles about the soul stones and the city where one could be safe from the dangers of the jungle. Cats started flooding in and taking up residence in the area. When Reeves and his siblings were old enough, Larue appointed her son Magnus to be king of Naxorus and rule it while her and her daughter Seda went into the jungle and set up the Lucis Temple. There, they helped those that needed healing or sought knowledge of the soul stones. They also sent lots of those they took in and healed to Naxorus to become citizens there.
Fond memories were always the best memories. Reeves absent mindedly followed Vino and Hyro as they both took their time looking around at all the sights. This place is astonishing, I've never seen so much goods in one place before. I can only imagine what else this city holds. Reeves chuckled and nodded. "It is quite wonderful. And up there lays the palace. That's where the cubs go for their schooling when they are of age." Reeves explained, gesturing a paw up the inclining hill that showed the tops of the taller sections of the palace above the trees.
It seemed as if every corner they turned a new and exciting world awaited them and yet Vino couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Something about the darkness of the alleyways, the nervous eyes of some of the merchants as they darted around. The cheetah was no stranger to crime, he knew not everyone was as honest as they would like to believe.
Perhaps that's why he would be best suited for the guard, he can't stand injustice and always had a weak spot for protecting those around him. His eyes flickered towards Hyro for a moment. To think of his son getting caught up in the middle of anything nefarious set his coat bristling, he quickly waved those thoughts away before they plagued him further.
"It is quite wonderful. And up there lays the palace. That's where the cubs go for their schooling when they are of age."
Vino looked in awe at the looming palace in the distance, royalty was still a slightly strange concept to him but he knew how much the lions especially where fond of their hierarchy. He figured the palace was not part of the tour, they would let just anyone in there after all, so he turned back to Reeves curious if this is where their stop ends. "This trip has been most enlightening, does this complete the tour or was there something else for me to see?" Vino asks with a slight tilt of his head, his cub sitting idly behind him pawing at the tip of the adult cheetah's tail every time it swayed.

Reeves let his own eyes scan the market place. There was all sorts of things happening there. Cats were trading, shouting out prices, bargaining with customers, etc. This was what Reeves had grown up around. he figured it could probably get to be a bit confusing and hectic for an outsider but he did hope that Vino would end up liking the city. Reeves already adored Hyro and would be very happy to see them on a regular basis. Especially once Hyro started schooling.
A sudden thought occurred to Reeves. What if Reeves became a teacher for the cubs? His brother was king and it was definitely a job he could easily get. He was royal blood after all. A smile spread across Reeves' face at the thought and he knew that he would have to talk to his brother about the idea.
This trip has been most enlightening, does this complete the tour or was there something else for me to see? Reeves thought for a moment of other places they could go. "There's not a lot of places to go that are near by but if you go that way you'll end up in the Erebos Agora which isn't a place you'd want to go. It's where most of the criminals reside and do business. There's the Katharos Pools up near the Palace if you ever want to visit those. That could be a fun place to take Hyro." Reeves explained, pointing out the other locations though he knew they would be a bit of a trek to get to them and Hyro probably wouldn't want to walk that far. Not after such a busy day already.

Erebos Agora, Vino mentally cataloged the name in his head as a place he should definitely avoid. He's quite unforgiving towards criminals and would hate to cause trouble after so many favors have been pulled to get him in the city. He'll have to keep a low profile for everyone's sake. Although perhaps another reason for him to join the guard, he could deal the problem directly and get payed for it. Not such a bad idea.
"The pool sounds excellent, thank you for the suggestion i'm sure Hyro would appreciate waters that aren't crocodile infested." Vino replied, the mirth in his tone evident despite the relatively true statement. The cheetah gathered himself, feeling a bit worn out despite having walked more other days, today with it's new sights and smells just took an extra toll. Having a cub immediately sent him into the realm of an old cheetah in a young cheetahs body, he couldnt handle to much excitement these days especially when his son caused more than half of it.
With a nod to Reeves, Vino gave the other his best attempt at gratitude in the form of a smile. It wasn't much but to the cheetah it was a bigger gesture than he was used to giving. "Much thanks for showing us around Reeves, I would of surely gotten myself lost in such a place without guidance. I look forward to seeing you when we cross paths again. I'm sure Hyro would appreciate it too."
