APPEARANCE

Jaali is for all intents and purposes, an average looking tiger. From a young age, her mother always commented how much Jaali looks like her father. As a young adult, she turned out more like her father than she could have ever imagined. She inherited his ability to put on muscle like no-one's business. She is certainly one of the bigger of her kind and weighs in somewhere around 380kg and is almost three and half meters in length. Jaali has been living by herself in the jungle for well over a year now and has had to learn how to hunt and fight for herself. Her muscular body has given her an advantage over any foe that has crossed her path and allowed her live to see another day.

Jaali's coat is a typical muted, rust-orange in colour with broad black stripes in a seemingly random pattern. Her coat is typically a harsh texture and very thick. Quite honestly, Jaali suffers in the heat of the jungle and takes every opportunity to cool off in a river. Her eyes are a dim yellow in colour and have a distinctive oval shape.

PERSONALITY

Jaali isn't your typical Dark Seeker. Her heart really is in the right place and the only reason she delved into dark magic in the first place is to save her sister's life. Jaali is completely selfless because she has dedicated her entire life to finding a cure to her sister's condition. She will do just about anything to save her sister's life. That 'anything' just so happens to be turning to dark magic to find the answer. Its her dedication to the people that she cares about that makes Jaali so determined to do right by them. As far as she is concerned, she will go to just about any length to keep them safe. Her commitment to those she loves far out passes any of her other qualities. It is both what makes her so strong and so weak. Her ability to devote herself body and soul to a cause makes her a force to be reckoned with. Jaali will pursue her goals with dogged boldness and reckless fearlessness. Her commitment also makes her dangerously blind to the faults and crimes of those she cares for. She can be irrational and mindless in her efforts to protector her loved ones. 

As a result of this, Jaali is ridiculously emotional. She can be so passionate in the things she does that she becomes down right aggressive. She is quick to anger and hostile to those that get in between her and her goals. Jaali tends to follow the 'attack first ask questions later' mindset. She always follows her heart and instincts before her head which tends to get her into trouble most of the time.   

HISTORY

The Issa family has always prided themsevles on their close bond with one another. Most tiger families were relatively solitary but the Issa's were different because of how they tended to stick together. Pira and Zel loved each other unconditionally and it showed in their numerous litters of cubs. Pira gave birth to three litters of cubs during her time with Zel. Her final litter was two females that she lovingly named Jaali and Vira. The two sister were spoiled with the amount of attention their older siblings showered on them and quickly became the precious babies of the family. The two sister could get away with just about anything. Even the time Jaali pushed Enu into a puddle of mud which took at least a week to wash out of his fur. 

Needless to say, while the family was a little odd in their dynamic, they were happy. Things were peaceful until a rouge lion pride started pushing in on their territory. The lions had numbers and strength on their side, but the family put up a fight for their territory. The lions were smart and picked off the family members one by one until only the young Vira and Jaali were left alive. Vira forced her headstrong sister to make a run for it. The two sister had to spend days trying to get the lions off their tail. In the chase, Vira lost her Soul Stone and Jaali had to carry her exhausted sister just to make it out of the territory alive. Eventually the two sisters stumbled across Naxorus and begged the healers there for help. A kind healer lynx healer named Sura took the two weakened sister under her wing and nursed them back to health. It quickly became apparent that Vira was much worse off than Jaali without her Soul Stone. She scummed to diseases much easier and had to spend a month longer on bed rest than Jaali due to her weak immune system. In that time, Jaali and Vira were completely inseparable and terrified that the lions would come back to finish the job. Jaali stayed by hers sister's side day and night, no matter how much Sura tried to coax her away. During her time at her sister's side, Jaali came to know a lion by the name of Reeves. He was sent by his mother Larue to Sura's hut almost every day with supplies for her healing practice. The two of them got into talking and struck up a friendship.

Unfortunately, Vira was stuck on bed rest longer than anticipated when she caught another disease just as she was beginning to recover. Sura had to explain to Jaali that her sister was extremely vulnerable to disease without her Soul Stone. It appeared that Vira was born with a very weak immune system, but because of her Soul Stone, she never suffered any negative effects. Now with her Soul Stone gone she was completely defenseless. After having lost all of her other family, Jaali was unwilling to give up on her sister so easily. She ventured out into city, talking to any cat that would listen about her sister's condition. Jaali convinced a number of healers to come visit her sister and try to healer but they all failed. They said that they could cure Vira of her disease and illnesses but they would just keep coming back due to her weak immune system. Jaali was devastated to face the concept of her sister inadvertent death. It was at that time that Jaali was approached by a serval named Axl. He had heard of a young tiger looking for a way to heal her doomed sister and he apparently had just the answer she was looking for. He told her of the power of the Red Soul Stone. He claimed that while Vira might not be able to be cured, she could still escape death. Axl told Jaali that if she delved into the ancient knowledge of the darkness, she would find the answer to saving her sister. Desperate and terrified, Jaali took his word for truth and asked what she had to do. Axl described several cats who would be willing to lend a paw to any new comers into their ranks. He said she would fit in nicely. 

Her heart light with hope, Jaali requested Sura moved Vira to the Lucis temple for further treatment. She told Sura that she thought maybe the healers at the temple would have better luck curing Vira. Sura easily agreed and helped the two sisters move to the ancient temple. After making sure her sister was properly moved in to her new environment, she shared her goodbyes with Vira before disappearing into the darkness of the jungle on her quest for answers.
