We are an advanced feline and canine rp site that takes place in the lost jungles of Vikos. The life forces of the canines and felines living here are tied to their soul stones. With their soul stone, they are able to grow in power and strength. Without it, they will weaken and die. Many abilities and powers can be acquired from the soul stones. How powerful you get, is up to you though.

FALL - The temperature is starting to fall a bit as it starts to cool off. The sun isn't as hot and the relief from the heat is much needed.

The Vikos Jungle stretches far and wide. It is no secret that there are many different species of creatures that call it home. And even more venture into it every day. It was about 10 years ago that the mainly feline city of Naxorus was discovered and created. The ruins of a human stone city, the two African lions who first found it were named Vadik and Larue Katsaros.
Their story is that of young love. They left their former pride to seek out adventure and a place to call their own. As they journeyed through the Vikos Jungle, they took shelter in the Ektos Cavern. Though they simply saw it as a place to stay dry during the night, they soon discovered that there was much more to that cavern than met the eye.
Home to the soul stones, the canines had already been using these stones for years now. Larue was the first to discover them glowing in the depths of the cavern. Taking one, she immediately felt the new strength pulsing through her body now that she had it. Pregnant with the four cubs of Vadik, she treasured the stone as they survived each day.
Vadik eventually took one for himself, interested to see what all of the fuss was about. He, too, felt the increase in strength and power that now pulsed through his veins when his stone was in his paw. Curious as well about the stones and the powers they might possess, he spent as much time as he could learning about them and practicing with them in the jungle, away from Larue's eyes. For he had discovered a darker, powerful side to them that he was ashamed of but far too intrigued by to give it up.
As Larue's due date came closer, they sought out a safer place for her to give birth and for them to call home. It was then that Vadik discovered the ruins of the human city laying deep in the jungle. There was crumbled buildings, dirt roads, wood houses and a stone palace sitting up on a peak overlooking the rest of the crumbled city. A safe place to call home.
It wasn't long after they reached it that Larue gave birth to four cubs. Three males and one female. Magnus, Cadoc, Seda and Reeves were their names. Wanting them to have stones of their own, Vadik journeyed back to the cave to retrieve four for his children. Bringing them back, Vadik saw that Larue had food and water while she raised the cubs. When he wasn't busy with that, he'd sneak off into the jungle with his stone, still hungry for more knowledge and more power. Something dark was growing in him, something that couldn't be explained.
As the cubs grew older and Laure needed less help from Vadik, the male slipped away more and more, spending less and less time with his family and more time improving his stone. Worry and fear began to grow in Larue and one night when Vadik hadn't come home yet, she went out searching for him once the cubs were asleep.
It didn't take long for her to find him in a dark clearing deep in the jungle, his eyes fixed on his stone that now glowed a bright, blood red. When he realized she was there, there was no regret or worry in his eyes for being caught. Instead, there was something dark that she knew wasn't Vadik. Not the Vadik she had come to love.
She spent days trying to talk him out of whatever he had gotten wrapped up in. Begged him to throw away his soul stone and give it all up so that they could be a real family again. But he refused. The power he now felt was far too addicting for him to want anything else more.
Knowing what she had to do, Larue went to work devising a way to kill her mate. She had to keep her cubs safe and keep them from following in their father's paw steps for she knew what he was doing was wrong. Discovering a plant with a deadly poison in it, she coated a spine with the deadly toxin and waited in the palace for Vadik to return.
He finally did and when he was asleep, she buried the spine deep in his pelt and watched as he writhed in pain, the poison wasting no time taking effect. Just as the deed was being done, Laure heard the small voice of her daughter who had seen the whole thing. When it was all over and Vadik was dead, Larue disposed of his body deep in the jungle.
Explaining everything to her children was the hard part. Seda, of course, believed that her mother had done the right thing because she'd seen the evil burning in her father's eyes as he'd died. Cadoc had always been close to his father though and had no problem voicing his doubts about his mother's actions. Magnus and Reeves seemed to agree with their mother but never said much on the topic.
As they all worked on putting it behind them, the cubs grew up and Larue gave the city of Naxorus to Magnus to rule. Other cats had already begun joining the city and it was growing quickly. Magnus would make a good king to those living in it. He was always fair and just. When Cadoc found out he hadn't received the city and Magnus had, he was enraged and took off into the jungle and hasn't been heard from since. Reeves fled into the jungle shortly after Cadoc left though his reasons were unknown.
A little while after two of her sons left, Larue took Seda to a temple she'd discovered in the jungle. Larue wanted to make it a sanctuary for those that needed help and guidance as well as to learn about the world and the soul stones to keep others from following the dark path Vadik had taken. That was how Lucis Temple came to be. And it is still being ran by Seda as the archon while Larue takes up the position of second in command and head healer.
