APPEARANCE

A little bit bigger than the average clouded leopard Chrys weighs a well muscled 55lbs and knows that he is the epitome of feline masculinity. Irregular spots cover his tawny brown fur, becoming more regular when they near his head, legs, and tail. His eyes are a burnished copper color and look out over a pale pink nose.

Chrys keeps his dark blue soul stone on a surprisingly simple hemp chord around his neck.

PERSONALITY

Chrys is a playboy through and through. He travels from city to city wooing susceptible females and collecting exotic goods to bring back to Naxorus. Infused with a deep love of traveling he doesn't do well staying in one place, becoming restless and irritable unless he is thoroughly and deeply involved in someonething interesting.

Inexhaustible in everything he does Chrys can become almost fanatic in his interests. Extremely assertive, he is used to getting his way in both business and in love. When a fellow merchant says no to him they will find themselves at the mercy of his prodigiously silver tongued, quick witted self. Often a time those shrew, disreputable dealers would find themselves not only agreeing to Chrys' initial deal, but also giving him most of their wares free of any extra charge. When a feline of the female persuasion denies him, he finds it immensely amusing as they will often quickly cave under his flattering attentions.

Stronger than one would think, Chrys has a great love of climbing. Despite his demeanor as a slick city cat, he is happiest when in the jungle leaping from tree to tree and doesn't shy from sleeping in the rough. It is this side of him that has caused him to amass a loyal merchant caravan who will do anything for their boss.

HISTORY

As is customary for clouded leopards, Chrys' mother, Nina, gave birth to her litter completely alone on a very lovely summer night in a copse of aspens. As such there was no one to stop her when she named every single cub after a flower, regardless of gender. Unfortunately three out of four kits were male meaning that by the time Nina got to naming the one girl (Lily), Chrysanthemum had two brothers named Rose and Daisy.

Chrys grew up thinking that these were perfectly normal names and for eight wonderful months he lived an enchanted kittenhood. He romped in the meadows and helped his siblings catch the many grasshoppers which inhabited them. They all got along in their little family, trusting their mother beyond everything and learning how to laugh easily.

Once they were old enough Nina decided to take them to meet their grandparents who lived in the great city of Naxorus. The city quickly ensnared Chrys with its vibrant colors and ever beating pulse, it didn't take long for him to become thoroughly lost.

The young cub found himself in Erebos Agora, perhaps the most interesting and scariest place he had ever been. Running into a group of scruffy, streetwise cubs Chrys eagerly introduced himself, believing that they would instantly become great friends. This of course was a hopeless dream as they laughed hysterically at him before pulverizing the "delicate country flower."

Humiliated, from that point forward Chrys insisted everyone stop calling him Chrysanthemum and started spending his winters with his grandparents, shaping himself into the city cat which he has now become.
