Killian awoken with a start breathing heavily as he found himself lying on the floor of the room he was being housed in. His body felt bruised from the fall, but he was otherwise okay as he glanced around. Shaking himself off, the soul stone around his neck jingling ever so slightly he sighed contently. It appeared he was still in the safety of the placement he had found himself in after talking to his commanding officer. Pulling himself stiffly to his feet, he shook himself off and slowly grabbed the blankets between his teeth and lifted it back onto the bed. Fixing it to the best of his ability, he closed his eyes briefly trying to blot out the dreadful memories of his father as he loomed over his mother. He didn't even want to think what would have happend if he hadn't gotten there sooner, knowing he'd done the right thing. At least he liked to think he had done the right thing, but it was hard to tell sometimes as he padded around cautiously. It had only been a week or so that he had found himself living as an undercover guard at a suspicious establishment he'd located. It appeared his commanding officer knew of the place and had asked Killian to go undercover to see what exactly was going on. So he'd gone and managed to get himself in close to the mistress of the Callaminta or Cally as he internally called her.
Not that he allowed some informal greetings to come between them given he was a respectable feline and also not wanting to get in too close. Especially since he wasn't exactly sure he was quite alright. Then again, he had never been normal since that night all those years ago when he'd cheated death. All he could really remember was the fact that he'd been outside his body standing over himself for a brief moment before he was brought back. Not long after that, he found himself becoming worried about the fact that he was starting to see things nobody else could. A dark figure in a dimly lit window, a shadow creeping up the walls or whispers of a nameless feline. Not that he made a point of telling others about such things, but it certainly made him at times anxious when things started messing with his head. Which was one of the reasons he'd asked for a private room which she seemed happy enough to comply with. Yawning gently after a late night before, he stretched and decided to go out for an early morning hunt like he usually did. To ensure his battle skills and other senses were always at their best. Satisfied with that decision, he slowly slipped from the room and made his way down the halls.
He heard nothing, but the occasionally sleeping feline making him break at the idea of such honourable creatures treating themselves in such a way. It was truly an awful way and in a sense he felt that it was such a terrible way of disrespecting oneself, but he kept such opinions to himself. Even if he tended to want to do anything he could to show respect to woman and prove he wasn't like his abusive father. He shook himself of the thoughts as he padded down the stairs startled when he thought he saw a figure at the bottom making him tense. He growled quietly as he stopped halfway down, blinking a moment to find that it was gone making him lift his head nervously. Was he actually crazy? No, he was probably just overtired or it was a trick of the lights since the place was still relatively dark for sleep. He stared there for a moment before finally trotting down the last of the stairs content to head outside and out to hunt. At least that was his plan when he caught a light in one of the rooms making his curiosity peak ever so slightly. Normally, when he came down this early there was never any lights on so he was rather surprised by the sudden source of light coming just down the hall. He glanced around wondering if this too was another trick of his brain, but when it remaining on he slowly made his way over to it.
Besides, he had a duty to the establishment to make sure that the working girls were safe as well as anyone else in that house. Not to mention it was his sworn duty to protect and serve as he crept on by. He couldn't hear anything too traumatizing, but he was still unsure of the light being left on. Keeping his claws retracted to keep rather quiet he slowly came across Cally's door making him raise an eyebrow at it. He glanced around but saw no trace of the other cheetah and the door was already slightly open. Worried something had happened to the mistress he carefully calling out to her.
"Uh, Callaminta? I saw your light on, is everything alright?" asked Killian cautiously as he hover just outside the door not sure whether to continue onward or stay there.

ELECTRICKERY
There always seemed to be things that needed to be done in the brothel and the only time that she ever seemed to get the peace and quiet as well as time to do them was the early morning before the sun had come up but after the eventful business evening had come to an end. It wasn't uncommon for the female to stay up and work out the details of her business as well as a few of the things she dabbled in on the side. She didn't like to work on those such things during the day when there were other eyes that could catch sight of it. She hadn't gotten this far without being caught for no reason. She was good at covering her tracks and it wasn't often that the authorities even bothered her any more. In fact, there were quite a few of them that came to her establishment to enjoy some drinks as well as the company of one of her entertainers.
And she liked to keep her own business to herself. The less others knew the better. Others knowing things about her and her business ventures meant there were more mouths that could spill the beans. That's why she preferred to keep things to herself. There wasn't a soul in the brothel that she trusted with her secrets. No one yet at least.
It was another morning where she was working late again. She didn't even realize just how late it was until she heard paw steps outside the door to her room. Her room was the only room at the top of the stairs to the right. It was a large room with two big wooden doors in front of it. In her room sat a desk with all of her papers and things she needed on it. Then there were shelves along the walls that held all sorts of precious gems, trinkets and other things that meant a lot to her and were worth a fair share of gold. In the far corner was a large array of plush pillows and blankets that had a thin curtain hanging around it, sectioning her bed off from the rest of the room. And the whole area was lit with candlelight from different colored candles that were scattered about the room to give it all a warm glow.
Amber eyes looking up from her papers, Callaminta heard the paws stop outside her door and she wondered who would be up at this hour. Quietly putting her more secretive papers safely into a desk drawer, she lifted her chin when a voice reached her rounded ears. Uh, Callaminta? I saw your light on, is everything alright? It was the voice of her newly hired body guard. She licked her lips a bit before replying. "Everything is fine, just tending to some business. Come in." She cooed back, leaning back in the large chair that sat behind her desk as her eyes were trained on her cracked door, waiting for Killian to make himself visible.

Killian wasn't sure how long he stood outside Callaminta's room before he heard her speaking telling him that she was alright. Even though he was suppose to be mostly concerned with the entertainers. Killain still liked to keep an eye on the mistress running the brothel since she too was under his care. Granted, he kept things professional between as always, putting a little extra distance between though since he was a guard on duty. He couldn't allow himself to get in too deep with this charade if he wanted to keep his job here and outside of this place. Thankfully, his commanding officer was keeping his comrades from searching for him for which he was glad knowing they could spoil his mission. Though he was still unsure of what exactly was going on aside from the disrespect and sometimes horrible treatment of some of the entertainers. It was almost hard for the hero inside him to not jump every time he heard an entertainer in anguish. Still, he knew his place and while he was able to intervein most times, he still knew they had a job to do as did he. Shifting from paw to paw he debated entering the room where Cally was, but figured since she had offered that he could enter. Nosing the door open, he slowly strolled into the room, his eyes catching sight of the beautiful female cheetah as she sat perched on her chair.
He had to admit that she was stunning though he never said anything on the subject. He smiled gently at her as he entered the room, closing the door with his back foot. He found her breathtaking to look at it, nearly forgetting his place as he scanned the room taking it all in. He had to admit it certainly looked welcoming and warm compared to his room, but then again he didn't exactly decorate the room. He just needed a bed to sleep in and a bowl of water to drink from and he was content as ever as he settled himself on his haunches taking in the numerous candles.
"My apologies I did not mean to bother you. I just normally don't see a light and thought I should make sure things were alright," explained Killian as his tail flicked from side to side.
He shifted a little in his nervousness trying to organise his thoughts better despite the fact that he was a little anxious at times from his unexplained seeing abilities. If you could even call them unexplained since he always felt as though he was being watched and hearing whispers from unseen animals. It was all rather nerve-wracking and it put the cheetah male on high alert as he tried his best not to let it get to him. Normally, he didn't get very rattled but given the nightmare moments before and the figure on the staircase he was on high alert. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not exactly good either as his eyes looked around the room. Settling down into a seating position, he tried to ignore the faint whispering he was hearing hoping to shut it out to the best of his ability whipping his head around when he thought he heard a scream. Except the house was still and he merely shook his head trying to get a grip on his emotions.
"I was about to go out for a little hunt. Would you care to join me?" asked Killian suddenly without warning. He was a bit surprised by his forwardness, but surely they could use the distraction. Even if he was appalled that he had said that so unprofessional like as his ears twitched one way and then the other. He could have sworn he had heard that yell, but there was nothing to even indicate it at all and he'd already checked all the rooms. Apparently it was going to be one of 'those' days it seemed.

ELECTRICKERY
Callaminta had finished most of the things she was working on and she could feel the need to move itching in her long, slender legs. Her amber eyes lifted to land on Killian as he stepped into her room, closing the door behind him. Climbing out of her large chair, she moved around to the front of her desk before stopping in front of it, her eyes still on the male cheetah as her usual smirk lifted the corners of her mouth. My apologies I did not mean to bother you. I just normally don't see a light and thought I should make sure things were alright. The female stretched her front legs out in front of her, lowering her chest towards the ground while her hind end remained where it was.
Her muscles rippled under the marble markings of her coat before a yawn stretched her jaws wide. Rising back up, she shook out her coat before replying. "There is no need for apologies. You've been doing well in your position here." She answered, small smirk on her face as he seemed a bit antsy and nervous. She narrowed her eyes curiously before tilting her head softly to the side. She was about to ask him what was wrong but before she could speak, he was speaking again. I was about to go out for a little hunt. Would you care to join me? Raising her brows a bit at his quick request, she pondered the idea for a moment before nodding.
"A hunt would be nice. After you." She answered, a soft purr in her voice before she waited for Killian to step out of her office before she followed him out, locking her office door behind them with the key that always hung from her neck.
