The rules

Getting Started
- First thing you want to do is join with your out of character account. Use your alias for the account name. Your out of character (ooc) account will be the account you post your character(s) plotter, wanted ads for your character(s), audition for a canon character, etc. Every member is allowed one ooc account.

- Once you have created your ooc account, you can make an account for your first character. If you're wanting to apply for a canon character, message Nala with your roleplay sample using the canon character you want and wait for her to get back to you before creating a character account for them. If you're making your own character, you may create the character's account using your character's first name.

- Each character must have their own account. Once you've created their account, be sure to go to your profile settings and change their display name to their first and last name (if they have a last name). Also make sure to fill out all of the mini profile fields once you're finished with your character. You're allowed to have up to 4 characters before you must purchase extra character tokens from the site store.

- If you aren't able to finish your character right away, post your unfinished application in the incomplete board. Once you have finished your character, bump the thread so staff can look it over. Any characters that are posted in the incomplete board and aren't finished after 3 days will be moved to the archives. It can be retrieved and made an active thread again upon request though.

- Characters are allowed to be any sexual orientation as well as any species off the species list. Characters must have natural coat colors and eye colors to start with though the soul stones are able to slightly alter their appearances within the soul stones rules. Characters aren't allowed to be created already wearing armor, clothes, jewelry, weapons, etc. as those must be purchased from the site store.

- If you are wanting to create a character in the army, they must start out as a soldier which is the entry level for the army. The only time this doesn't apply is if you are taking a canon character who is set at a different army rank. All characters created must start at the dark blue soul stone level unless you've purchased a soul stone upgrade from the site store or you are taking a canon that has a higher soul stone.

Around The Site
- Gold is the site currency and your character account(s) are the only ones that are able to get gold by posting in character. Ooc accounts do not gain gold. Gold can be transferred between your characters by posting in the gold transactions thread. Gold can also be earned by participating in site wide events, contests and plots as well as by being active.

- This is an advanced site as there is a lot of background material and in depth, character driven plots so make sure you are able to be literate enough to keep up with your rp partners. There is to be no graphic breeding or extremely explicit content so be wary of that. We also do not have a word count but we do ask for no rapid fire threads (since you are getting gold for each in character post) and try to match your partner's posting length to the best of your abilities.

- No killing, seriously injuring, force breeding or controlling another person's character without their consent. If a fight arises in character and you and your rp partner would like a staff to judge it and decide the winner of the fight just ask. Though you are also free to rp it out and decide on your own too.

- We do allow liquid time here as long as you can handle it. Every 4 months in real life is 1 year in character. Each month will be a different season so make sure you know which season it is for your rp threads. When the in character new year hits, an update will be posted and all characters will gain a year. This will be updated in the directory by the staff and should also be updated in your character's mini profiles.

- Avatars and signatures are allowed. Avatars should be 150 x 150. The hover image is 200 x 300. Signatures shouldn't stretch the board or be too busy or too long. You may set up a graphics/manip shop in exchange for site gold.

Activity
- We understand everyone has their own life and gets busy so if you know you won't be on for an extended period of time, please post in the absence board with an estimate on when you should be back. This will keep you and your characters safe if an activity check does pop up while you're gone.

- Obviously we want people to be as active as possible, after all that's what keeps a site going. We suggest that you get on and post at least once a week, preferably with all of your characters but we know that doesn't always happen. If none of your accounts (ooc or characters) have been logged into in over 2 weeks and you didn't post an absence notice, we will move your characters and threads to the archives and your accounts will be deemed inactive. If you do come back, we will reinstate your characters and make them active again but only once. (Absence notices or discussing the issue with staff are the two exemptions to this rule.)

- If you fail to post in an activity check to save your characters, you may request to have your characters reinstated but you only get this privilege once. After that they will be permanently archived and deemed inactive. Any characters who do fail an activity check will be moved to the archives along with any threads they are involved in and their accounts will be deemed inactive.

Breeding
- Every in character year (real life 4 months) a male can father 2 litters and a female can have 1 litter. Litters will be smaller than normal litters and contain between 1 and 3 cubs/pups to keep there from being too many babies running around. A female must be pregnant for 1 week real life time and complete one thread in character while they are pregnant before they are allowed to give birth in character.

- When ready to breed, both the mother and father must post in the it's a boy/girl thread to get their litter stats. The mother posts her information and the father posts his information so we know you are both agreeing to the breeding. Staff will then roll to randomly get the stats for your litter. Once your litter has been rolled, the mother can start on her in character pregnancy thread.

- Cross breeding is allowed as long as the species are similar in size. For instance, a lion and tiger or leopard and jaguar crosses are fine. A tiger and an ocelot wouldn't be probable though. Same goes for canines. No feline/canine breeding for obvious reasons.

Canon Characters
- We have an ongoing canon character list and new canons are added occasionally. Normally each person is only allowed to have one canon character however if you're very active and can keep up with two, we may allow you a second one. Even with one canon, you must be able to keep them active and you must post with them at the minimum of once a week or they will be taken from you and put back up for adoption as they are very important to the progression of the site.

- In order to apply to play a canon character, you must send a roleplay sample of you using the character you wish to adopt to Nala. She will then respond letting you know if you are awarded the character or not. Don't be skimpy, the more descriptive and in depth you go, the better chance you have of getting the character.

- Canons will come with basic information that they must have. Anything not stated in their ad is open for you to decide. Canons also may start at higher soul stones levels than a normal character would.

- Occasionally high ranks will be opened and can be filled with already created characters. They won't have a canon already designated for them and a new character can be created to fit the position or an existing character could fill the position. Same rules apply for these. You must apply by messaging Nala a roleplay sample of you using the new character you wish to create to fill the position or your existing character you want to fill the position with. Wait for her approval.

Canines & Felines
- We've had lots of questions about how the characters are allowed to move and such. For starters, they are not anthros so they do not walk on their hind legs like a human. They can stand on their hind legs and have a few human like mannerisms but overall they walk and function on all fours like cats. They are also much more intelligent than normal animals because they can read, write, make goods, etc.

- A good way to describe them is that they have more dexterity in their paws so they can use them more like hands and they've learned to create inventions of sorts to help them complete tasks such as making armor or weapons or jewelry.

- Another good way to think of it is like the animals in animated movies like Ice Age 4: Continental Drift and All Dogs Go To Heaven. They usually walk on all fours but they are able to do a lot more with their paws and do have human like mannerisms.
