Remember all the things we wanted, now all our memories are haunted. we were always meant to say goodbye. even with our fists held high, it never would of worked out right. We were meant to die. I didn't want us to burn out, didn't come here to hurt you now, i can't stop. I want you to know that it doesn't matter where we'll take this road,
Perhaps memories was all she ever wanted. It wasn't that she couldn't let go, she just didn't want to. She didn't not want to remember the time when her family was whole and everything was happy, because letting go.. seemed too dangerous. It wasn't heartbreaking, nor was it cruel. She couldn't exactly describe why she didn't want to let go, but she didn't. When her father died, she knew it was for the best. Her mother cared for them, all of them. She did what she had to keep safe, so that they wouldn't turn out like their dad. Seda had loved him, and maybe at one point, he loved her too, but it was in the past. What was done was done. Her father had made the choice to turn his back against his family to chase after something that.. could never love them the way they did. He was a coward, he wouldn't face what he had right in front of him and instead snuck off to do what? To become the exact opposite of the true person he was? What her mother did was just. It was her father's fault. It was all his fault. Why she was still grieving, why she couldn't stop remembering what it looked like to watch him writhe on the floor in agony as the light passed from his eyes, and how he brought mother... so much pain.
The pain still lingered, as it always did. She would always think about it, even after all these years, she couldn't stop remembering. She woke up with tired eyes and sluggish movements. Her ears flicked forward slightly, listening to the quiet breathing of the other residents within the temple. A puff of air blew from her nose, laying there for a few moments before rising to her paws. Stretching out her back she released a content sigh after the sound of a few satisfying cracks of bones settling within her pelt. Shaking her head, she padded out of the room to make her daily patrol around the temple, however her mind was occupied with what she had to do today. Perhaps she could go hunt a little, catch a few things to bring back. A meal sounded nice as her stomach began to rumble with the sound that made her ears crane back in distaste. Her jaws parted to release a yawn, ivories shining in the dim light of dawn. She made her way outside so she could sit down and begin grooming her fur carefully, tongue dragging over the shaggy fur. Amber eyes looked dully as the pink tongue traveled over her pelt, flattening the fur effectively. Claws dug into the ground slightly to keep her steady as a leg lifted to clean her flanks. With a final lick of her paw to swipe it over her head, she stood and began to walk to the jungle. After her meal she'd have to come back and train a few beings then go back to studying and such.
Her paws were soft against the floor with each step. Fur and paw pads hit the ground as her shoulders shifted atop her back, moving with ease underneath her pelt. She raised her head high, lips pulled back in a neutral manner. Her tail swished just above the ground gently. Her ears were rotating within their sockets, nose wiggling for the need to scent another presence. If she didn't find anything she'd have to go back to the temple and get something to eat. Success and hard work tasted so much better though when it was fresh. Her tongue ran over her chops at the thought of the tantalizingly fresh taste of metallic blood and meat as it filled her belly. It was animal instincts and its finest. Her train of thoughts were broken by the movement within her vision, making her stop. It seemed a little too big to be any prey she has seen. She stopped in her tracks, claws slowly unsheathing, taking a few cautious steps back. Her ears turned back slightly, lips twitching to briefly show her ivories. "Whose there." She demanded, her voice a lightly growl as her eyes narrowed. Muscles rippled underneath her pelt as she slowly got into a light crouching stance.

"Hear Me Roar"
Tejas woke to the sun against his back. Being a cat of the jungle, and a rogue male didn't have a ceiling to cover him. He didn't even have a den or a heavy branched tree. No matter, he wouldn't have it any other way. In fact, he purposelessly piled together some leaves underneath a clearing in the sky so he could wake in light. He felt like he was part of the earth and sky right now as he stretched and rose his head to the sky. Today would be the day.
He was rather disappointed that he hadn't found them in the caverns those days ago. He was sure that his sisters would have left to retrieve their stones so they could get strong. They weren't the type to let something like that happen to their mother, even if they were cubs. He could only hope that they had and he had missed them, so at the very least, they would have the boosted strength of their stone to protect them a little longer. But he had found his own, and he was now casually rolling it in his paws. An empty and lucid blue. He was worried if it was broken or something. The only time he had ever seen another stone it was a deep and shining obsidian that struck fear in his heart by just looking at it and a lustrous and shining light blue. Still, he wasn't one to complain. He would work with what he had as usual.
He clawed his heavy paws across the leaves, leaving deep rakes into the ground to mark his nest in case he wanted to sleep here tomorrow. He prowled along. The dense forest vegetation seemed to reach out and hug him today, though he found a new smell along a leaf. He paused for a second, took another sniff. And another... Come on, he had to figure this out. If he was ever going to track prey, at least he should be able to track a scent of another cat. This was a female, and it wasn't a fellow tiger. That much he could figure. He wasn't one to tuck tail and run from the unknown however, so he decided he would meet this mystery feline.
He hugged along the trees of the forest and around the trees when he finally found her. He didn't make his presence hidden from the lioness. A lioness? Hmmm...he was certain there weren't many lionesses that were not too common in the area. She seemed to be too lost in thought to notice the young tiger moving in front of her. But once he was finally noticed, she quickly went into a hostile mode. He...didn't appreciate that much. From the sound in her voice he could tell she was older than what he had originally thought. And from the prim and properness of her voice, she definitely wasn't from the jungle. He flicked his tail and lowered his eyes in a sneer, but he refrained from growling.
"If I'm not confused, ain't it the polite thing to be to introduce yourself before you ask for someone's profile?" He replied, continuing his walk, shaking his head. Sure she had the right to be defensive in a land she wasn't used to, but really? Who would have the strength or the size to take down a lioness besides a lion or an older tiger?

Seda stared ahead to be greeted by a rather.. unfriendly tiger. He seemed young, but lean and muscular all the same. He didn't seem to want to harm her... She retracted her claws into the fluff of her paws, ears flicking forward. She stared at his disapproving sneer, which was more than enough to tell her to calm down. "If I'm not confused, ain't it the polite thing to be to introduce yourself before you ask for someone's profile?" Her amber eyes blinked for a few moments before relaxing and standing up straight, her fangs no longer bared in an aggressive manner. "Yes, of course. Forgive me, I thought you were somebody who was going to harm me." She answered neutrally, ears turning in their sockets to listen for any other danger that could lurk near, but who would try to get in a scrap with a lioness and a tiger, let alone another predator. "I'm Seda, I come from the Lucis Temple. Forgive my aggression, I'm a little paranoid," She introduced herself light-heartedly with a smile.
She quickly analyzed the way the tiger looked. He had muscles beneath his thick pelt, that was accompanied by a maturing size, lean and lithe. Almost lanky in a way, and he had bright green eyes. Quite an interesting one this one. "So are you hunting too? I don't think i'll have any luck though, i'm not exactly the best at hunting." But she'd have to perfect her abilities somehow, right? Hunting was a good opportunity that was too perfect to take. Although slightly embarrassed she was aggressive towards a tiger, somebody with manners nonetheless, she was proud of her quick reflexes. She'd be able to use that someday, when she really was in trouble. But for now, maybe she could make an acquaintance of sorts? If he'd allow it that is. Too trusting Seda was, ah well, she'd get in trouble somehow, the learning process had all the mistakes to waste. With a shake of her head, making her fur stick out along her neck, she strode forward and past the male tiger. "Would you like to accompany me? I understand if you're not too trusting of me right now." She offered a smile once more, the lips along her jowls moving upwards in a welcoming manner.

"Hear Me Roar"
His words somehow opened up clarity in the lioness' eyes. She calmed down, probably remembering where she came from. His thoughts were confirmed when she apologized. "S'all good, Seda. Can't really blame ya. You was spacing a bit hard for a second." He smirked and sat down in front of her to keep her calm. "I'm Tejas. Nothin really special about me." he shrugged.
He couldn't ignore the pang in his stomach when he heard the word hunting. Living on the bare minimum meant he had to hunt every morning if he didn't want to deal with a strong headache and a growling stomach. His eyes brightened at the offer and he stepped forward a little. Actually, this was kinda weird. He didn't know this girl. She could just as easy take something down with him and keep it all to himself. What could he do about it? Fight her? Tough luck with that. But she was a city cat. She prolly had an honor code and stuff. "My trust doesn't come easy, but food is a good start."
He lept from his spot towards Seda's side, staying a comfortable distance out of her reach still and nodded west. "The best place to hun is at the sun's clearing. Things like Okapi like to graze where there is sun." Of course, the grass grows higher in parts of the jungle where the sun can shine down on it. It was perfect for Tejas, for his color and stripes during this time of day where simply the sun's light and the shadows casted. Yeah, with her help, he just might have the strength to take one down.

Seda didn't exactly believe that everybody had an evil heart, just bad intentions. Her father consumed himself in the darkness and even though his heart had been pure, he was lead astray onto the wrong path. He lost the way and he didn't have enough time to find it back. Fate had a funny way of showing itself, whether it be in miracles or trauma, it just showed. Funny how fear was an inanimate object but when could feel it as if it were real. Seems her thoughts were scattered as always, jumping from one idea to the next. A puff of air blew out her nose in slight frustration at what an air head she was being right now and focused on the tiger's voice, it was deep and.. foreign compared to the voices she listened back at the temple. Nonetheless, she listened. "Sa'll good, Seda. Can't really blame ya. You was spacing a bit hard for a second." He had a funny way of speaking, that's for sure. Her grin broadened for only a second. "Yes, I get that a lot." Her voice was light hearted as she spoke, tail lightly swishing against the ground behind her frame.
"I'm Tejas. Nothin really special about me." She tilted her head slightly, ears perking forward. "Tejas sounds like a lovely name." She complimented with a content purr, rumbling in her throat softly. Meeting new people was always a pleasure for this lioness. Fortunately for Tejas, Seda wasn't the 'attack on sight' kind of girl. Never was, her mother taught her to be fair and just and that's what she was going to continue to be. After all, she wouldn't want to end up like father or Cadoc. "My trust doesn't come easy, but food is a good start." A chuckle bubbled from her, rolling off her tongue in a blissful manner. "You're a funny guy." She commented before switching her amber eyes ahead, paws softly hitting the Jungle floor with ease as her fur shifted, her shoulders moving underneath her creamy brown colored pelt. "The best place to hunt is at the sun's clearing. Things like Okapi like to graze where there is sun." Her mouth watered at the thought of the lanky creatures. Okapi had tender meat and she could really go for an adrenaline rush right now. She wasn't technically an adrenaline junkie but it sure did feel like it most of the time.
Her gaze flickered back to the male tiger near her side. "So, how long have you been living here?" She wondered out loud, ear shifting towards him before looking back ahead. "Got any family with you?" She asked politely, keeping her pace as she moved forward. Bright eyes stared ahead as her mind wandered elsewhere. Was there anybody else out here? Of course there was, there always was. If they weren't in the Temple or Naxorus, they were somewhere else. Perhaps they'd meet anybody else? But that'd be a problem... But why? Ah, a curious creature she was.

"Hear Me Roar"
Tejas hadn't ever heard of anyone commenting on his name being lovely before. He had heard of it being called unique, and along with his last name sometimes exotic. His mom had told him when he was young that his father was a prince from a faraway land and she was a common girl from a different kingdom and that they ran away to this land together. His mother was also prone to lying often. But he didn't want to think about her right now. He shrugged all of those nasty feelings thinking about it brought up and focused on the possibility of hunting. Though, thinking about names made him realize hers sounded awfully familiar. Where had he heard it before?
Seda laughed a little at his comment, and even told him he was funny, which was very humbling for some reason. He stopped for a second, Was she really being so nice this easily? Maybe she was trying to get his guard down? Or maybe it was just natural to her to casually compliment people. "Uh...thanks," he started, pausing a second and cropping an ear in slight confusion. 'I guess I should try to be a little nicer myself.' he thought for a moment. " You've got a kind voice, Seda. I don't think you are up to anything out here." At the same time, his mother had a kind and gentle voice. It sometimes seemed like this whole forest was filled with more sweet talking killer-cats and strong and honorable deviants than it were true evils like snakes and scorpions. But so long as this one, good or bad, was on his side, he wouldn't have to worry, right?
They were walking through the parts of the forest where the first signs of the sun peaking through the leaves started showing up when she had asked about the jungle and his family. He puffed his chest out in pride a little when he spoke about the jungle. "Born and raised right here." he declared. "All of this? Its all mine. No classes and no boundaries. That is until someone bigger and better comes and takes it from me, but I can always fight for it back without penalty, y'know?" Of course she didn't. Only junglars would know the day-to-day struggle and pain of living in the jungle and loving it. Freedom was a wonderful thing only when you didn't have worries in life that kept you from enjoying it. That was impossible here.
A puzzled expression crossed over his face and took the light from his eyes for a moment as he started to remold what family was to him in order to answer with what he felt in his heart. "I've got two little sisters." He finally said, nodding to confirm his words. "You can't miss them; one is white and fluffy like her father, but she don't got any stripes on her body. Just got 'em on her head and legs and tail. The other is sort of in-betweenish of me and him. She is orange, but it's a weird orange. And it looks even weirder because her stripes are brown and she has a white underbelly. They are cute though." He smiled a little at the picture of them he painted in his words. They were a lot of trouble too. He needed to make sure that trouble wouldn't lead to a premature death. "Shit happened and now I need to find them. I know they must be angry and confused...but not scared. Nope, fear ain't in our blood." And with those words, he could raise his head high again in confidence and know that they would be okay.

Seda noticed the skeptical manner about him, only making her keep smiling. He had a right to be cautious, for all he knew she could be crazed and looking for blood shed. But, no, she'd leave that to her brother Cadoc. She never knew him to have bad intentions but who knew anymore, he had quite a temper. That much was clear when he fled off in a fury when Magnus was crowned king instead of himself. Selfish desires was what they were, after all. It was his fault after all, deciding to take the path their dad had came with a price after all. He was a threat, and either they'd have to eliminate him or lead him back onto the right path once more. Her eyes briefly dulled at the thought of her brother never returning to their side once more before she shook her head and brought back the optimism in her gaze. No time to brood in the company of a nice being. She picked up the happiness in her step once more, raising her head high as she bounced along the trail. "Uh... thanks," She heard his masculine voice, casting him a glance and nodding. "Of course! I don't meet many people out here, and you seem like a nice cat." She commented happily before she continued skipping her way through the underbrush with ease. "You've got a kind voice, Seda. I don't think you are up to anything out here." Blood and heat briefly rose to her cheeks. Compliments were always a favor of hers. "Thank you very much Tejas." She purred, paws sliding against the solid ground. "I would never be up to anything evil. I like to think of myself fair but i'm a bit of an air head than anything else." She replied with a soft chuckle.
She watched as pride and confidence began to swell in his chest, making a glimmer of interest shine in her eyes. "Born and raised right here. All of this? It's all mine. No classes and no boundaries. That is until someone bigger and better comes and takes it from me, but I can always fight for it back without penalty, y'know?" Her eyes widened slightly before a slight childish demeanor caught her. "Wow! You must be very strong, Tejas! You sound like a king!" She beamed with interest and admiration for the younger tiger. The Jungle seemed like a very dangerous, but free place. It was much different than Naxorus or in the temple. She noticed that the confidence began to fade as she asked about his family. "Oh dear... what if he doesn't have any family? What if his parents died? Oh dear, did I step on a sensitive subject?" Concern and worry filled her eyes in a heart beat, but did not dare to interrupt him. "I've got two little sisters. You can't miss them; one is white and fluffy like her father, but she don't got any stripes on her body. Just got 'em on her head and legs and tail. The other is sort of in-betweenish of me and him. I know they must be angry and confused... but not scared. Nope, fear ain't in our blood." Ears flicked forward as the credence once more returned to him. "Wow... they sound really beautiful. I just know they'll be okay if they're like you! I can help you find them, if you'd like. The city is filled with lots of people, i'm sure they're somewhere!" She declared with a bright grin as it lit her face like an optimistic light. "Do you know where they could of gone?" She wondered with the cock of her head tot he right in curiosity.

"Hear Me Roar"
He seemed nice?...Weird. She must have really been out of touch with this place. She seemed to like the compliment though. It was good that it didn't come off weird or creepy. He wasn't quite used to saying something nice to others, naturally. When she talked about being an airhead, he huffed a little in laughter. It must be nice to be that way. He he had heard that those who are airheads are actually very smart and complex, and sometimes their brain just has to stop and sort things out. Nothing was really going on in his head to be an airhead. Hunt for food. Mark your grounds. Protect your family. Thats all his life consisted of until recently.
She was very impressed to hear him gloat about the jungle. At her words, he laughed a little and shook his head. "Nah, I'm just a wimpy little kid out here. I can't even catch anything over 100lbs right now." He hoped that he could be powerful enough to be called a king one day, however. Kings could protect their families without worry. If there was anything in Naxorus worth giving up the wild for, it would be to be the king of it.
Sadly, Seda didn't seem like she had seen them anywhere. Oh well. He would definitely solve this. They couldn't have gotten too far. "I thought they would maybe be in the caverns. They don't got their stones yet so...but if they did, I missed them." Seda's optimism and happy attitude was contagious. He couldn't help but smile a little. He was definitely feeling a little better now than he had in a long time. "Yeah...I'd like to do that very much, Seda. I guess they could be chillin' in the city now that I think about it. But for now...." Tejas picked up his pace into a light short sprint before slowing and slowly brushing through a section of thick forest into miles and miles of tall golden and bronze grasses high enough to tickle his chin. "Lets find us something to eat, huh?"

Seda listened to his masculine laugh as it bellowed from his throat, making her ears flick forward slightly. "Nah, i'm just a wimpy little kid out here. I can't even catch anything over 100lbs right now." A giggle bubbled from her, optimism alighting in her heart. "It's okay! You'll grow up and you'll be a mighty hunter!" She stated with confidence that one day he could be strong enough to take anything down. He was a tiger, albeit young but still learning and growing. He was a good fellow and she would know that one day he'd grow his own cubs and teach them the same way he was taught by his parents. The future was always a subject she'd like to think about. It was unknowing but full of opportunities to come. Her amber eyes lit up with bliss once more as she kept following the male feline through the vegetation and trees.
"I thought they would maybe be in the caverns. They don't got their stones yet so... but if they did, I missed them." A smile was brought to his muzzle, and even if it was small, it made her heart flutter with happiness. She loved it when she helped make others grin, it was brightening somebody for the better. "Yeah... I'd like to do that very much, Seda. I guess they could be chillin' in the city now that I think about it. But for now...." Before she could respond with glee, Tejas was already beginning to start up the hunt to what looked like golden tall grass, making excitement and adrenaline begin to course through her. She jogged for a moment or two before sliding into a stalking position, her movements slow as her fur blended easily in the vegetation. Ears craned side to side, listening for the sounds of small hooves crunching against the landscape. Pupils slitted slightly in a serious manner, nose wiggling to smell the air. "Let's find us something to eat, huh?" A low yet almost playful purr rumbled within her throat. "Gladly." She cooed before stalking forward, claws unsheathed to have a grip on the ground. She kept her tail low to the ground, unmoving as to not disturb the grass too much. Tejas said the Okapi would graze in the sunlight, they shouldn't be too far now.
She crept forward meter upon meter, shoulders moving with ease underneath her pelt, her frame gliding across the ground with relatively smooth motions. Through the blades of vegetation, she spotted the beautiful brown and black and white striped Okapi. It was small but lean, it seemed more of a loner than anything. She glanced towards Tejas and motioned her head towards the prey before circling around to the other side. She began to lay onto her stomach, paws tensed against the ground with ears back as she stared at the Okapi. She made no noise, no movement, waiting for Tejas to scare it towards her.

"Hear Me Roar"
Tejas had figured that Seda was just a very positive lioness. It didn't make sense that cats were just normally this nice, city or not. He smiled a little at what she said, muttered a thanks, and began to wonder about what had life brought to her to have molded her to be such a way. She probably had two loving parents and was surrounded by siblings who would play with her and protect her with their life. He couldn't quite say he was jealous of her, however; it was what he went through that made him strong. Against all odds, he was doing fine out here in the jungle, and he knew the same would be said for his sisters. Because of what they went through, they simply couldn't die here. Its too soon.
The happy and sweet lioness who had ventured with him suddenly transformed into a trained hunter right before his eyes. Her voice echoed with her hunger and concentration, which pulled a smirk from the young tigers face as he looked at her in wonder. "Nice to know I'm not working with an incapable city cat." he casually remarked, his voice low to keep the potential prey from being alert.
The sun casted onto the hide of the okapi turned the white of its stripes into a golden yellow. It became hard to distinguish the creature's backside from the rest of the grass and shadows around it for the young hunter, but Tejas caught sight of Seda's target once he saw the dark head of it bend low to graze a little more after checking its surroundings. He licked his lips and crouched low, but skipped along the grass with confidence. A little too much confidence, actually, as it would have easily alerted a fellow okapi had this one been in a group. But it wasn't, and so by staying on his blind side, Tejas was able to sneak up to its front without being noticed.
Okapi were strange, oblong shaped creatures like their cousin the giraffe. They looked so scrawny and ill-built with the way they have to stretch their tall thin legs out so that their necks can properly reach the grass they wanted to graze on. But Tejas knew better than to judge a book by its cover; that plump torso meant it was almost twice his weight and if it could hold that with those legs, it wouldn't go down that easily. Thats why this okapi male was so confident in his solitude. Tejas needed the combined effort of a heavier and more developed cat, and from the look in Seda's eyes and her position, she knew just what he was thinking.
Tejas lunged forward with a growl as the animal lowered his head again. His strong arms and blade-like claws caught and held onto the shoulders of the okapi with ease. He was even able to maneuver his way onto his back, but the tension he could feel in the okapi's neck and the imbalance he was starting to feel told Tejas this was not the one to play rodeo with. He quickly jumped back off of him, causing the okapi to stumble out of his wild bucking, turn his tail, and run in the direction where Seda wasn't too far off.
Remember all the things we wanted, now all our memories are haunted. we were always meant to say goodbye. even with our fists held high, it never would of worked out right. We were meant to die. I didn't want us to burn out, didn't come here to hurt you now, i can't stop. I want you to know that it doesn't matter where we'll take this road,
Seda was far from having what the cats would call a 'normal' life. Staying happy and positive just made her forget what had truly happened behind closed eyes. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, right? She would much rather prefer to stay happy and perky to brighten somebody's day rather than stay aggressive and bitter like her brother Cadoc had been. She loved him, he was her brother, but he was a danger. He always had been and she should of eliminated him when she had the chance... should of chased after him and killed him... surprising how such an innocent and optimistic lioness was thinking about killing her own flesh and blood. But just like her mother had poisoned her father, she had to kill her brother, one way or another. It was a re-occuring thought, just like her 'what-ifs' were. What if her father had never gone down the wrong path? Would they all be a happy family? Would her brother Magnus be King or would Cadoc still be with us. However as the scent of the Okapi drifted to her nostrils, all thoughts were wiped away as she went into her true predator mode.
A small smirk lifted her lips upwards as smaller pupils trained themselves to focus on the task at hand. Claws gently brushed against the jungle floor with each step, muscles coiling beneath her golden pelt. "Nice to know I'm not working with an incapable city cat." Her amber eyes glanced over to the younger male and offered a playful wink before circling back where the prey would come to her, unknowing she would lie in wait. Ah, strategies and tacts were more her style. She may of been an air head and had the voice of a younger lioness, but she was still professional with her high standing in the temple. She may of not been assigned to hunt for the temple but it was still nice to catch her own meals. The temple would survive without her for a couple of hours right? Her pink tongue swiped over her muzzle as she stared at the Okapi. It was beautiful and man she couldn't wait until they caught it and dug into it. Meat was that more satisfying when caught manually.
She would lie if she said she wasn't staring at Tejas as he leaped onto the Okapi with strength and force. She was enraptured at the scene, watching the prey struggle beneath the large and muscular tiger. She trailed her eyes down his frame as muscles rippled beneath his orange and black pelt. Her mouth gaped open slightly, amazed at what she was seeing. She had never really seen a powerful feline such as Tejas hunting another being. Her tongue swiped over her muzzle once more before glancing away briefly, claws digging into the ground slightly as her stomach churned. When the loud THUD of hefty paws rang in her ears, she knew that was her cue. She would show that she was a great huntress, she slowly lifted her body into a crouching position though still low to the ground. And when it was only meters close to her, she pounced. Her hind legs pushed off the ground, paws outstretched before claws gripped the prey's shoulders and tackled it down. Her head craned to the right to snap her jaws around the juicy neck, fangs sinking in as the pair rolled on the ground for a few moments before she found her footing and actually laid her body on top of the herbivore, its body struggling and squirming underneath her weight. She kept her grip on however and held its neck, jaws clamped shut in a fierce grip before it slowly ceased its struggling.
Releasing her mouth from it, she swiped her tongue over her teeth to wipe the blood away, the metallic tang of blood slipping down her throat. With a content purr, she slipped off the Okapi and gestured to it. "Would you like to have the first bite?"

"Hear Me Roar"
Tejas let out a soft grunt as his paws touched the ground again, letting the tension he had built up be released and the blood flowing through his system normally. He had landed in a crouch just low enough to disappear out of the okapi's sight. He wanted the creature to believe that he had failed to capture him. In truth, he would have anyway. His sabers were still barely four centimeters; certainly not enough to go for a hold and he wasn't heavy enough to stay on his back, but this was one of the rare moments where Tejas would admit his shortcoming prior to trying to overcome them. Only because someone was watching...
The prey seemed to have believed that he had thrown off Tejas and escaped the jaws of death, but once he tiger had disappeared back into the grass, he knew better than to try to go for a round two and took off in the direction of Seda with reckless abandon. Tejas looked up with pure excitement and bliss reflecting in his eyes as he casually gave chase to be ready to hold the beast's legs down, but paused as Seda leaped from position. She sunk her claws into the punctures he had caused like she was sheathing a weapon. That had to have taken some hella precision and a very quick eye. He crouched into position, ready to jump when the animal and started to tumble forward.
"Woah!" escaped from his lips as he surged forward, initially thinking that it was the okapi who was taking this battle to the ground in hopes to crush her. His head tilted slightly as he approached the dying animal with Seda planted on top of him. She was a little roughed with dirt and grass seeds, but otherwise unscathed.
"Oh...nice." Tejas said with a nod. Not only was she capable, she was clearly used to this kind of thing. Maybe Seda hunted her own food? He didn't know where the temple was (and assumed it to be part of Naxorus), let alone how things were done there, so he was left to wonder why anyone who would live in the luxury of a place would bother gambling with breaking their back out here and hunting.
But he certainly wasn't going to complain. "You don't have to ask me twice," the Tiger responded, licking his lips and eying a juicy thigh to start with. He liked to eat the strongest part of what he hunted first. He figured it was where all the muscles were, and if he ate the muscles, it would add to his own muscles. He briefly recalled how his stepfather would say that those who deal the killing bite deserve the first bit of food, but damn him to hell, right?
Tejas' jaws and teeth may have not been enough for a live meal, but it would certainly be enough for a dead one. He could properly think out things when it wasn't trying to run or stomp him to death, and he looked over the okapi's leg before gripping the femur in his jaw and planting his paws at either side of the leg. Pulling his head back while pushing for the okapi to stay to the ground successfully tore the leg off to enjoy, and he cradled it in his arms like a human would with a newborn child. Tejas sighed with a bright smile as he inhaled the scent of food. "I haven't had a real feast in so long. I'm going to savor this piece by piece." He promised as he began to lick away the pesky furs with his rough, large tongue.

Remember all the things we wanted, now all our memories are haunted. we were always meant to say goodbye. even with our fists held high, it never would of worked out right. We were meant to die. I didn't want us to burn out, didn't come here to hurt you now, i can't stop. I want you to know that it doesn't matter where we'll take this road,
Seda was so caught up in the adrenaline, thrill, and excitement that she hardly noticed the young tiger's concern for her. Once the adrenaline and excitement had died down, she released her throttle from the prey and shook her fur out, dirt flying and vegetation falling from her pelt that was now seemingly tangled and messy. Climbing off the okapi, she gave her back a quick lick before looking back to Tejas with a small smile. "Oh... nice." Her grin broadened immensely at his statement. "Thanks! You were really cool too!" She exclaimed with slight glee before politely waiting for the male to take his share of the Okapi. "You don't have to ask me twice,"
Amber eyes watched as he flopped down to sink his fangs into the meat, giant jaws clamping around the thigh. She watched with wonder and amazement as he tore it off of the body with relative ease, strings of muscle ripping off bit by bit rapidly. Her ears pricked forward as he got his leg and she settled down near the belly, nibbling a little at the stomach before tearing off an opening and diving into the intestines and insides. The fattening part of the body was more of a favor of hers. More weight meant she would get better at wrestling and that would help her gain more muscles. She had her diet planned out and she'd have to keep it steadily flowing. "I haven't had a real feast in so long. I'm going to savor this piece by piece." She pulled her skull away from her meal, parts of her face and most of her muzzle covered in the crimson liquid. She let out a giggle, "Sorry if i'm a bit messy." She said, tongue swiping over her muzzle briefly before continuing. "The temple has plenty of food supplies, but I believe labor tastes better and is a lot more satisfying in the long run. If you're ever hungry, you can visit the temple! I'm there practically 24/7!" She stated with a smile brightening her muzzle.

"Hear Me Roar"
Seda chewed a hole to bury her head into the intestines of the okapi. It was a favorite of his sisters and his mother; soft, hot, and fatty. He never had really gotten a taste for them , but mostly because of upbringing; soft food is for girls. Real men only ate the muscle of an animal. He would rebel against that, but he was content in what he liked and it meant Seda could be content with her own meal.
He chuckled when she pulled her face away and it was partially covered in crimson, and gave the lioness a shrug. "There is no such thing as messy out here. You should see my sis' table manners." Tejas almost snorted at the thought of getting food from a food reserve. That was for city cats who had forgotten what those claws resting between their paws were for! But before he had said some pride-swollen statement like that, he had to consider his situation. He was living day-by-day the way things were now, and thats not how a tiger should be living. Especially if that tiger has more important things it needs to be doing, like finding their siblings. If he eats more, he will have more energy, so he could search longer and farther. With that in mind, his smug smile relaxed to a more thoughtful expression. "Yeah..." Tejas finally returned with a smile of his own. " I think I will have to do that...thanks, Seda."
In only an hour's passing, most of the animal had been consumed. Tejas had a voracious appetite lately and it wasn't like Seda was a lightweight cat. The young tiger was now resting on his side with a content glaze in his eyes and a yawn threatening to push its way through each of his words. "I can't believe we almost ate that whole thing." Tejas said in a dreamy-like voice. An okapi bull was a feast for a family of tigers, and it had only taken two cats to eat this one. The buzzards and vultures must be resting in the shadows of the trees just shaking their heads. As a sort of sleepy afterthought, Tejas flicked an ear and then shifted his head to look at Seda. "Hey Seda...what about your family? Why aren't they out hunting with you?"

I didn't want us to burn out, didn't come here to hurt you now, i can't stop. I want you to know that it doesn't matter where we'll take this road,
She listened to his rumbling chuckle when she had pulled her head out of the open stomach. His laugh was nice, she always liked a feline who had a sense of humor. "There is no such thing as messy out here. You should see my sis' table manners." A giggle bubbled from her, before flickering her amber gaze back to the male. "Your sisters sound like they would be lots of fun. I would love to meet them, when we-... I mean you find them." She grinned through her childish thought. Like he'd trust me enough to let me help him find his sisters... I probably wouldn't trust me. A soft chuckle erupted from her at the thought before tugging at the internal organs from inside the little Okapi. "Yeah... I think I will have to do that... thanks, Seda." His muffled voice reached her ears, making her head back away from out of the belly. "What friends are for, right?" She commented before going back to eating at the organs.
Long minutes had turned into only seconds of non-stop eating for her. The small little lioness had managed to crawl her upper half into the body and found it not worth it when she didn't have anything left inside to eat but the upper organs, trapped inside the animal's ribcage. Shuffling herself back out, she nibbled on the front leg for a little bit. However she felt her belly was so big it couldn't get any fuller and quit, laying on her back peacefully. Her chest rose and fell quietly and slowly, a content purr stirring inside her. "I can't believe we almost ate that whole thing." A soft laugh came from her muzzle before turning her lean skull to gaze over at him. "I can. We're pretty bulky individuals." She answered with a light hearted grin. The lioness rolled her pelt on one side before taking the liberty of leaning her head over to begin to clean her pelt, picking out the grass blades and whatever seeds was in it, untangling the knots of light fur. "Hey Seda..." Tejas' voice broke the silence. Her tongue paused before she flicked her gaze over at the tiger. "Yes?" She asked before resuming her grooming. "What about your family? Why aren't they out hunting with you." She paused once more, a small stretch of silence following as she pondered on how to answer. "Well... my family is... divided? I guess you could call it. My brother, Magnus, is the king so he doesn't really have time for silly ol' me. My mother runs Lucis Temple and i'd hate to bother her. My other brother, Reeves had run away a while ago and I haven't seen him since. Neither have I seen my last brother, Cadoc. He's.... well... he's danger and he left after Magnus was named king, but I know he's up to something. He was always like my father." She stated with a nod of her head before offering a sheepish smile. "Sorry if you don't care for this information. I tend to ramble sometimes."
